yeah agree. I will be there very nervously watching. We are just slightly ahead because it’s at home , no more than 2-4 points in it
Haha, mate I was mainly replying to the “and now is their team traveling?” comment, which clearly implies a team’s form is dependent on the halfback and how he’s playing. But if you want to disregard that, then my other point was that Hynes and Reynolds as individuals are playing much better footy than DCE. And get this… they’re both on nearly half the money! If only everything was due to the half back and nothing to do with an under performing pack
Buzz is tipping the warriors in the bold predictions
Hynes imo is a tad overrated. Reno has been a significant addition to the broncs, however their pack has been bloody good and lays him a good foundation each week. Our pack has been better the past two weeks. Let’s hope they do a job on the backs so we can unleash the outside backs. Could be a season defining game this one. For better or worse. I think we’ll do a job in the warriors. Manly 20 plus at home!Haha, mate I was mainly replying to the “and now is their team traveling?” comment, which clearly implies a team’s form is dependent on the halfback and how he’s playing. Hynes has been a revelation but when signed he was unproven as an NRL level half, so his next deal will be way up there. As to Reynolds salary, see the posts above from @Mark from Brisbane, he is on very big money (and I agree, playing very well)(behind a pack that is firing)my other point was that Hynes and Reynolds as individuals are playing much better footy than DCE. It's an interesting game mate. I actually listened to Jimmy Smith and Gerard Condon's preview of the game and they both have Manly as 13+ and are very confident about it. Smith said that Manly's effort against the Storm was 'outstanding', with line speed and defensive intent etc, and were beating by Munster. We are just slightly ahead because it’s at home , no more than 2-4 points in it
My comment is that I find it difficult in a team sport to caste the blame on one player especially when a half backs job is so dependent on go forwardHaha, mate I was mainly replying to the “and now is their team traveling?” comment, which clearly implies a team’s form is dependent on the halfback and how he’s playing. The forum bet is on again this week sorry guys
I share some confidence but I personally thought that Storm game was a real let down. I thought the Eels game was promising though. It's an interesting game mate. I actually feel pretty confident about this game, we've been on the road against 3 good side over the past few weeks, back to 4 Pines where we haven't lost this year. I think we'll be up for it.
Does seem a bit odd with Olakautau and Koula being quite solid one on one defenders and yet that side regularly having defensive issues . Then D C E usually capable of some worthwhile one on one defence , communication and positioning the obvious problem and despite his experience level , usually D C E being the issue . Recall the excellent defensive technique with those really good Manly sides of 2008 - 13 or so and the up and in defense but still being able to adjust to spread wide again if needed . Seem to more wait back a bit on that side in particular now instead of committing earlier and not being caught so flat footed on a regular basis . Anyway will be interesting this week if there can be some hopeful improvement on that vulnerable right sideI share some confidence but I personally thought that Storm game was a real let down. The Storm game was a huge chance to turn things around but we kind of never got going, even though we got given some opportunities to.
Defended ok at times but only when it became desperate. The problem is that even if we defend well 70%-90% of the time, we still seem to have some seriously weak links in that chain.
It all seems just fine until it isn't.... inevitably conceding a painfully soft try.
Typically an edge is at fault (cough cough the right edge), but there are occasional exceptions.
Interested to see how the right edge goes without dce this week. While Foran's defencive edge often scrambles and reads the play fine, dce's one falls apart time and time again. Major communication issues between the second-row, half and centre.
Crazily, dce doesn't seem to trust Olakautau (yes, Olakautau) making one on one tackles in defence and gets drawn in almost every time! Even if we lose, it will be nice to not have to watch that this week 😀
Yeah, I saw that, now I can sleep easy knowing Buzz predicted us to lose. His predictions rarely come true.Buzz is tipping the warriors in the bold predictions
They are missing Lodge and AFB, could be a stream of traffic coming down there middle. I'm thinking a lot of no look inside balls coming their way. We got this one...No so bold I reckon , we’ll be lucky to win this one !!
This could be Koala's break out game we've all been waiting for, all the ingredients are their for this to happen, no DCE, Foran and Schuster calling all the shots, a biggish 4 Pines Park crowd. I agree this could well be a season defining game if we run riot on Sat night, if not it's dark days ahead.Hynes imo is a tad overrated. You are THAT confident ?I'm just glad the games not tonight again, so I don't have a ****ty weekend haha.
Particularly with 500 on Manly.
