Back from a wet Brookie and what a disappointing night. There goes our Fortress again.

I feel partly responsble, having not posted my 'Go Manly' before I left (sorry) but Cummins did us no favours whatsoever with his anti-Manly pathetic penalties contributing to our loss.

Imo Paseka, Jake and DCE were best, whilst Weekes at FB was underwhelming (maybe Garrick would've been better there). A battered Croker played with courage.

Dread the thought of playing the Broncs at their home next week and then the Sharks at Brookie if we play like tonight.
We have 3 home games in a row coming up and we will lose all 3. Will be season over if not already.

You are all over the place.

You've spent years bagging a select few players, now all of a sudden when said players arent playing, the coaches are suddenly the issue.
I am all over the place because as you have seen tonight our team was all over the place and coaching is accountable as well

Well that was disappointing. I guess Holbrook keeps his job for another week. Their back line was always going to cause us a problem with speed, but they also caused problems down the middle. Quick play the balls had us backpedaling, which in turn brings penalties. We had the ball stolen a few times and with strips, it makes it harder to get settled. I've never liked the way Cummins refs us, and he's in the same boat as Atkins. They're are both manly haters. Anyway I'm not going to bag the players. we need speed in the backline and someone who will straighten the attack. We had enough ball in the first twenty to get over the line a few times. Not straightening led to near misses on the sidelines. I thought weeks did enough to show promise. At least I don't torture myself with watching the replay.

I wouldn’t call it a fiasco & it wasn’t just DCE who commented on Schuster, Seibold did too.

Whatever’s going on, I just wish they’d sort it out & play footy instead of looking like they’ve never met each other before.
I've said this before about looking like they've never met. There is no fluidity to our passing. You look at souths and the panthers and they barely seem to look when they're passing and it's done on the move. Ours is pass, stop to take the ball, run a bit, stop to pass the ball, scratch their heads wondering why the defence is on top of us, then try a pass which isn't on because we don't seem to have got anywhere. We shouldn't be using the word clunky this far into the season

"I don’t know what the problem is at Manly."... we dont have the players, the depth, or the owners to go forward.
I think it it is just the attention to detail
The extra 1 or 2 or in tonight’s case an extra 10% effort !
Last week we named 4 trombones on the bench, this week our 6 probably would have been better at 9 and our 9 at 6, our three probably would have been more useful at 1 and maybe our 1 at 3
All good in hindsight but I think more needs to be done internally to identify everyone’s Strengths and Weaknesses and how to go forward with this
I agree our owners have not really publicly addressed any of this

Unfortunately, the next three weeks might kill our season. In any case, we are forever one or two injuries away from imploding. Our back up players just aren't up to scratch.
