Melbourne is missing big Nelson who is arguably the most destructive forward in the comp atm. I also see that Moeroa is among its reserves. He was a gun player then switched to rugby and I don't think he's played much, if at all, for The Storm this season. Gee they have a good roster. I think we are meeting them at a good time.

Except for Kelpie. In MY best 17.
Which version of Keppie though?
The one that is dominant and confrontational or the one that knocks on a lot and is clumsy? He is very inconsistent, although I'd maybe throw him in over Lawton or Aloiai (pending his form after returning from a lengthy injury) over the next few weeks. I think he is a bit of a risk. Can be great. And to his credit he typically does well in big games.

The one that he mostly is. His first child has been on his mind for sure...now that's over.

." I think he is a bit of a risk" You are happy with Walker in the 17 and he is a FAR bigger risk than Kelpie.

Also missing Kamikamica, bit of grunt missing up front for them.

Hughes has a calf niggle also, on paper it looks to be in favour of Manly.

Tent has been quiet the last two games, expecting Des to have him firing up along with the rest of the pack for this game.

Lots to improve on from the last fortnight, looking forward to this game.

Hynes was hobbling the end of last game and haven't heard anything. He could be seeking revenge against us for what Twent did to him.
Hynes ran it off and continued for sometime at fullback, got subbed off for Papy and eventually came back on in the halves for Hughes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hynes replace Hughes in the halves this week and Papy to play 80 at FB.

Yes but that is why we have been practicing fast passing rushes from side to side. To limit the number of gang tackles/wrestling dances they can do. If they try to get 3 in every tackle they'll be exhausted trying to keep up as the ball zings side to side.
I reckon you have a good point mate, but with Storm can't just go sideways - I reckon there will be a heap of Digging in behind that ruck and then those sharp shifts will come into play off the back of it.
Sat will see what the Mad scientist has created....excited too see what tactics are used

Have a good feeling about this one. Aside from the Bulldogs who have an unexpectedly even record overall with the Storm head to head, we are one side that usually troubles them. Would love to say that we would blow them away which could very well happen if we get on a roll. I think it’s going to be a tight contest however decided by less than 6 points

Looks lie the bookies have us around 3 to 1 against.
That's exactly where Des would want us to be. It's expected that the Scum will win this game. It's also expected that they will go through undefeated from now to win the Grand Final. Manly is well and truly under the radar, with an unsettled lineup, players out of form, and a very suspect defence. Well played Des.

I think we clearly have another gear to step up to. In comparison I dont believe the Scum have any more upside. We might not see Manly play at optimum level for 80 minutes until the preliminary final. When we do play at optimum I think we beat the Storm. Either in the Preliminary Final or in the Grand Final.
Yes it's optimistic. So what.
Go Manly.

Forgetting the first four we’ve won 3 games then lost 1 , all year!

This is game 4 since our last loss!
