This is it. This shows where we really are. Let's forget all these weird underwhelming wins we've had in the last few weeks. I feel like the boys have just taken them as training runs and let complacency creep in. The last time we played a top-of-the-table team was Parramatta in Round 11. We put in a finals-type gritty 80 minute performance against them. Our best win. If we come with that attitude and that mentality again, I have no doubt we can shock the league come Saturday. It's all down to Des and the boys.

Now obviously the storm could put 40 on us and blow me right out of the water but I feel out of any match they have had in past 12 weeks we could just give them a hurry up.

Will obviously take our big guns to fire on the day but I just feel old Des will be working double time to put one over on Bellyache.

I think we need to see manly play its best game of the season tonight. we have been playing touch footy for months with plenty of dry tracks

Could be one of the reasons Storm have started making noises about wanting the GF played in Melbourne! On a dry track Manly has too many weapons for any side to control, really the only games we've been losing are when beating ourselves or the refs lent a hand.

Keen to see who is in/out for Storm. I don't care if we lose, I just want it to be kept competitive and not let us be blown out like Penrith were

I like your thoughts EoL, we definitely have the game to beat them, it's just a matter of everyone icing their opportunities with the ball. And channelling our inner Steve Mattai, cause it's going to be trench warfare from start to finish.

Storm are ripe for the picking. Hughes is a big out for them; Pappen is still finding his feet and may be trepidatious especially when running in the vicinity of Haumole; their main creator for most of the year has been Hynes, but he may be in a new role as replacement half so his timing from there won't be perfect.

Big chance Kaufusi for Storm will be suspended, in fact probably will. Got charged, and has carryover points to boot. Paseka is an integral part of the pack, his go forward will be crucial for us. All in all barring Keppie, it's a great side with lots of points in us.

Agree with this, but the Storm will really test the refs in laying about trying to stop Manly carving the middle and giving Tom and co the time and space to open up the game...they will want an ugly, dougher Wrestlemania type game, where they frustrate and strangle Manly to death.
The officialling - or lack of it, will have a Massive effect on this game.

Yes but that is why we have been practicing fast passing rushes from side to side. To limit the number of gang tackles/wrestling dances they can do. If they try to get 3 in every tackle they'll be exhausted trying to keep up as the ball zings side to side.

Manly playing their best game * is superior to Storm playing their best game. Storm are at the top through better consistency which counts for nothing in the big games when teams bring their best. Only Panthers with their best game (ie cleary) can be a threat to us but I feel their confidence bubble has burst with no more chest bumps and carry ons like they were and Cleary will be protecting his injury and possibly only 60-70% productive.

This weeks game on the other hand will only show where we currently stand and where improvement is needed to keep building for the finals. Winning it will be a bonus.

As others have informed us, Paseka has in fact received a grade one charge and a fine, not grade two as someone on this forum pointed out to all the doubters out there who ridiculed me, called me a tosser, a numbnut, and other such derogatory terms. Agreed! Storm side missing kafusi. Remis smith on turbos favourite side, he will be targeted. Harry grant hasnt been the same player since his injury. Same as Papenhuyzen! Whereas our boys are in good form. Gonna be close im going with Manly 16 - storm 12.
