Our 5th tackle option is wasted on the bench

Dce not having a great game.

We get the ball back straight away in the 2nd half so need a solid first set. Have about 7 mins to defend with 12 men.

Our attack inside the opposition 10 is poor. We just look unorganised.

On another these purple scum grapple tackles around the head are terrible. Can they get any dirtier.

Watching the first half again highlights that there are two sets of rules out there, When we attack they are allowed to slow it down, stand offside and when we defend we get Perenara in our face every couple of tackles and now a sin bin to top it off, the game is being ruined by over zealous officials.

If Manly can control the ball we are a chance, our attack is too clunky and we need another half out there to get the attack organised, Tommy looks dangerous but he needs better service than he is getting!!

We give away too many penalties everytime the opposition is attacking our line.It seems we can’t defend our line without giving away penalties.In fact I will go on to say that it’s the only way we know how to defend our line. Melbourne held us out when we were hitting their line without giving away penalties so why can’t we do the same.I hope this is not a game plan of ours everytime we need to defend because it’s not working and it don’t win games.

Exactly. Have been down their end a lot but no point kicking to their wingers. Get it in the in goal and get a repeat set.

Great physical effort from the boys, top notch defence, only 6 missed tackles. If we continue the grind snd keep up this enthusiasm, we will prove too strong in the end. The first 10 mins is crucial. At least Jake will be well rested when he comes back on. Really if i were the coach, bring Hodkinson on in the halves, Walker back to centre, Suli Bench and play Suli in the forwards for the final 15 mins.

In Baz's defence, we haven't often managed to hold onto the ball until the fifth tackle this season, so he probably thought it was a waste of time. Baby steps: once we've mastered holding onto the ball we can get a little more jiggy wit' it…

Even the Commentators are questioning that logic as the next penalty could have been 60 minutes away.

Fox also reckon that Jake commiting to a tackle in a split second can easily have him take the player without the ball.

I agree. They really hold down and wrestle well. Turning the player side ways on the ground. Really slowing us down

Wow. That has to be the worst 40 mins from DCE ever. The storm are atrocious. And we are no better. DCE is Not running, not kicking. Well not good kicks. Just give the bloody ball to Walker.

Come on - Walker can’t organise either, he can run like that in the centres. Trent comes in and we will see the best from both Cherry and Walker. We have no patience in attack - it is like a bunch of headless chooks playing 100miles an hour - Walker won’t fix that.

Other than the sin-bin being over used, what I am starting to hate is when the refs won't give a penalty for 'milking', yet the dummy half can deliberately throw it to a player laying on the ground in the most obvious act of milking.....and its a penalty to the side with the ball.

Consistency is not a word used by NRL referees.....
