So in Tom's absence we need to see our big guns step up in the try assists department. Tom has contributed 17 try assists this year in 18 games. Luke Brooks (15), DCE (13) and Garrick (8) need to all step up. Hopoate is also dangerous with good hands and Koala just needs to focus on his running game and hitting the holes. Our forwards brought their A game last week and if they can back it up we still have more than enough attacking threats to come out with another dominant display and get our home semi with Tom back and a near full strength squad running high on confidence we could really turn it on and be in Season best form looking to go one step further.

Koula needs to be good under the high ball. Hopoate is safe in this department. I would like to see them both swap around at various stages of the game as Koula on the edge is strong and dangerous and Hopoate is well composed at the back and seems to poke through and make good ground.

Tom has also scored 17 tries so it really is important that Koula, Hopoate, Talau and Garrick can really play up tempo so we dominate field position. I think we can put a good score on the Sharkies. It will be perfect conditions and Paseka is really starting to go to another level. Lodge was strong on his comeback and Brown made great metres. I think we can get on top in the forwards and win this one by 18

Another thing I liked about last week's game was the heavy involvement of both DCE and Brooks and the patience they showed in both attack and defence. They both had great games. We need them to continue this great form because when they are on their games we are unstoppable.

Only having Tom out for one game will be a good test to see how we make up for that. Our game plan will be relying upon our key players firing and if we are we have already shown that we are an attacking force when we get on a roll.

614 points this year not bad. Would love to see us take it up towards 650 on Sunday.

I hope you're right but it will take a mighty effort. I'll take any win, DCE field goal will do
Sharks have been a bit up and down lately without Hynes, but they've had a strong season and I reckon they are stronger than last year. More experienced, Kaufusi for example has really improved.

I suspect Brookie is the only reason Manly is narrow favourites ... so we'd better make it count!

Brooks is our wild card, he is so on top of his game, running the ball or laying on try assists. He's so dangerous around the ruck area and can pick out a lazy defender really well. We'll be up for this big time but not sure about the Sharkies, it's looking like either 4th or 3rd no matter what for them, so if we skip to a nice lead the resolve to fight back may not be there.

OK - so there are a lot of scenarios out there (as many have covered off in previous threads).... but by late Staurday evening we will MOST LIKELY know that:
The Sharks are locked in for 4th spot (surely Rooster and Penrith both win?)
Can Sharks pull some changes before match day in this scenario and rest someone?

We will also know who is locked in for 5th and 7th (between Cows and Dogs) meaning we will know who our opponent will be for both sets of results.

But - there is also one final little scenario (which is 1,000,000 : 1) but I love the idea.....

Cows and Dogs play out a hard fought, slugfest DRAW. they share the points (and keep their F/A)
We win vs Sharks.
We end up in 5th.... and play the winner of the Titans v Knights game!

I am not a betting man - but surely someone must have a crack at some sort of multi around that?
Cows and Dogs have to then back up and play again the next week!

Hope you're right, but DCE and especially Brooks have been at their best when Turbo's been on the field. Let's hope Koula or Hoppa can inspire them.🤞

I like your formula Harmless, but the Titans are sitting on 22pts..you mean, we could play the Knights.

This is true. Turbo just provides so much indecision in the opposition defenses. They're constantly scanning for him , not so sure that will occur with Koula

Koula will cop more bombs than Gaza and when he runs with the ball there will always be six sharks players around him to take him hostage
One of your best Bozo, and there hasn't been to many of yours that have given me a chuckle.

Sharks will play tough grinding high intensity semi final football I reckon - hard up the middle, getting through their sets, kicking to corners etc. Basic stuff. I think the key to beating them will be one word - "Patience." If we go with them early and withstand the onslaught (which will be there) we might be able to get over them when fatigue sets in with our backline speed and class. A lot of 'if's' but it's definately doable. Last week was a rare game where I was cheering like an idiot all game and really proud and pleased with how we went about it. If we play like that again and win it's a great momentum boost into the finals. Let's dare to dream eh?? Go Manly

It is all about perception feathered friend
We say some thing and some people will agree some will laugh others will get pissed off others will not get it at all
When we become politically correct we lose our authenticity and our character
We should be true to our word and our selves
I am glad Bozo the Clown made you feel good chuckle
