Considering we have 11 of our top line players out (surely this would have to be some record), the forward pack for the most part still looks pretty competitive. Plus the spine is still in tact. This alone shows the improved depth we have cultivated over the last few seasons.

Despite this, I see Harper-Seci getting slaughtered by Manu-Sualii. And although Walker may hold his own against Momirovski through experience alone, Tupou out-classing Smalley will also be quite devastating.

Obviously the biggest issue tomorrow will be the mentality of a divided team, a crushed spirit, and complete lack of cohesiveness in our structures. To top it off, Jake, Croker & Davey will most likely be severely weakened. Never in my time of watching footy have I seen such a disrupted and disadvantaged team take the field. What a mismatch - against a near full-strength Roosters side starting to hit form.

This game will cap off one of the worst weeks in our history. I'm devastated, and feel so bad for a lot of the hard working players, coaches, and members.

Still may be the same team as selected take the field . Jake has had some reasonable time to make a covid recovery all things normal and taking to an acquaintance yesterday who had a bout of covid during last week , he has had a good recovery and ran a half marathon trial on Monday with relative ease . So every prospect the covid three will be good to go . Real shame Vaega opted not to take the opportunity , both Seci and Smalley are strong runners . Never know , could well manage to go O K under the high ball and defensively . Experience and ability is still there with the other backs . Bullemor was showing something in i st grade earlier in the season , sure that he still has the overall ability be quite competitive at this level , De Luis won 't let the side down , Get Tent to fire up from the start and he really could take it to the roosters pack . Very surprised that Boyle was available again but can only hope that he can offer something . Then for Marty and Keppie to step up , Seggy will have a crack , Still some suggestions that Zac Fulton and Weekes might come into the mix . Bizarre week so far and a fairly good Roosters outfit, maybe a bit bizarre also to expect a Manly boil over but stranger things have happened

May aswell just forfeit this week..
It’s going to be an absolute flogging…
I’m all for the blokes standing down if they don’t want to wear the jersey, but I also want all 7 of them to be forced to sit on the sidelines and watch their team get utterly destroyed and our chance at top 8 gone because they chose not to play aswell..

Roosters by 20… atleast

Smalley is a big lad and will be scary for his opposing winger. He will go hard.

I have seen him live a number of times. In the recent game v the knights (we won) he took out his opposing winger catching a bomb. Illegal and he got 10 in the bin, but he didn’t die wondering, and the poor bloke was carried off.

He has been in the manly system for quite a while so will know the boys, played with lots of tHEM in NYC.

I have been a Manly member for many decades and I was planning to go to the Easts match.
I was going to watch rugby league, nothing more, nothing less.
Now, thanks to the stupidity of the club decision-makers, I won't be going as they have ruined this simple pleasure by turning it into a religious-political-cultural divide.
Just look how a RL Forum has turned Manly supporters against one another.
The NRL and the Bunker were doing a good job of ruining my interest in the sport. I never thought my own club would complete my distaste for RL..
Have to agree , all this would never have got news if the marketing and office people spoke to the workers IE the players before going ahead with the jersey , this point needs to be reinforced.
Now we have the shambles that is on us and going to lose this weekend costing us 2 points.

If you believe Brent Read in the Tele today, the footy department ticked off on it without consulting the players.

Summed it up well MA, as you say Deluis wont let any body down, he's a tackling machine, and has been our 19th man for a while now and at long last deserves his shot. Also good to see Smalley get a shot at 1st grade, been with Manly for a while now, who'd ever thought, so good on him. And Boyle makes a surprise cameo after so long on the sidelines, probably he's swoon song in truth. And finally Bullemore, hope Bullemore takes his angry pills before the match starts, we need the footballer everyone said he was going to be.

Keeping chooks to a 20pt win will be a huge shot in the arm for our patched up team and club.

Nah...doesn't look like it, Robbo would of given them all a long boring speech on I know how you must be all feeling...etc etc..
Maybe we just hope that their religious beliefs are strong enough that they can't even touch anything with a rainbow on it. Be funny if they agreed tp play but refused to tackle.
Dream on ...
