I think Todd is coming to Sydney for Manly, not for family reasons although they could have something to do with it. If we can get Carney in the 6 for the second half of the season there is still hope. As much as he has been a dickhead he is a fine playmaker, a dally m winner. He has pulled his life around and if we can get him, he could help turn the team around.

Firstly don't agree with changing 1 of the best centres to 5/8....but
Things have changed plenty since then and 1 key I look forward to seeing.....offloads in broken play.
Manly are great at go forward, not fast play the balls...this means Walker did not get ball in general play at a retreating defence and this is still a familiar Manly trait.... and when he played there last time it was a rush defence in his face (as it should be) frustrating him bar 2 sharp tries when he decided Option A - RUN...
Since that time he last played, the ability of Kapow, Jake and AFB, who was not there....to offload in the ruck has been the most constructive attack that Manly have made line breaks with Tom and DCE the beneficiaries. If Walker can get amongst it, there is no doubt he will cause headaches from 2nd phase play.
Probably reaching for a positive from something that obviously did not play out well last time, but see this as an improved area for a ball runner like Walker.

Hastings was injured with a dislocated finger on the weekend, so may not even be able to play on Sunday.

NRL have rejected our special dispensation request for Moses Suli. They have informed the club that they need to elevate him into top 30 if we want him to play this weekend.

Good point with our forward pack this year. Walker played behind a weak forward pack aside from AFB and Marty. AFB has since gone up another level and Marty has finally started hitting his straps as one of the best props in the comp. If they do fire then I can see Walker doing well in attack.

There is certainly truth to some of the team not wanting him. Interesting to hear from Jake at 5.30 on Fox Sports given their below tweet:

If you look at body language it is very evident that Jake has an issue with Hastings. Jake was also the first one to come out and support TB when Hastings was ostracised. I have been thinking since then that it may not be DCE that has the biggest problem with Hastings

What I don't get is that it would be news worthy if Manly with all it's issues were in the Top 4, but we're not

Way back at the beginning of the season I heard Walkz interviewed on BSB. I remember him talking about his time at 5/8 and saying that if he got another shot he knew how he'd play it now and it would be totally different.
I remember thinking we'd never get to see what he was talking about.

walker just has to think run, similar to how crocker was playing first half against newcastle. will be up to api to get the ball to dce on the 4th and 5th tackle to make sure we get good kicks away without a heap of pressure. cause no one else in that team can kick!
