Pre-Game Manly v Roosters [Finals Week 2, 2021]

Last week’s performance aside, our team named this week is a good one

Shuster, Tommy Turbo and Harper need to step it up this week.

Schuster and Harper were very poor, particularly in defence.

I have a read a lot about Tommy this week..it was the forwards fault, it was DCE or Walkers fault. Tom had an unfortunate game by going missing in action. It happens, not every game goes your way, but we need Tom to have hands on the ball once every set of 6, minimum!

Tommys strenghth is his ability to sniff out a weakness in the opposition defense. The storm showed no signs of weakness therefore Tom was quiet. Tom can be shut down but it requires a near perfect defensive display. If we are on a roll Tom will get 2 touches per set. If we are on the back foot it won't matter how many times he touches the ball.

The roosters replacements that will be fielding this week are not salary cap breaking players

Hard to exploit weaknesses in a good side that has barely broken a sweat because they've had all the ball. We needed to get into the grind that match but we kept dropping the ball and giving away penalties. Melbourne coasted.
