Personally I have lost all confidence in those in The Bunker to do the job. There is nothing wrong with The Bunker itself, nothing wrong with the technology. The problem is the buffoon's manning it and the rules they are governed by such as not being allowed to rule on forward passes.
The bunker is a shambles at present and I’m buggered if I know why!!

Brad Parker's courage and defensive ability (especially at left centre) is very impressive. He is sneakily good at contesting kicks and hitting holes as well. This is the sort of player you need in your team to win a premiership - reliable and cap efficient. Plus he has red hair and you need at least one of those.

Levi had easily his best game for us last night. I think he was kept on the bench too long. There was one play where he scooted from dummy half where he should have passed after a quick play the ball but other than that he was extremely good. I have been one of his critics and still don't think he has the smarts to really excel at 9 in the modern game but with sufficient play the ball speed he could just be serviceable.

Sirro is another player flying under the radar in comparison with his contributions. His runs last night cutting back inside were great. He has evolved into a great defensive edge player and is a true strike weapon inside the opponents red zone.

I hope some people are giving DCE the credit he deserves. He was brilliant last night and was heavily involved in everything on both sides of the ball and off of it. People who want to get rid of him amaze me, look at the other teams who are struggling to find a real halfback. Get rid of the Australian number 7 and we will end up with a Lachlan Lewis, Ash Taylor or Anthony Milford type player in our team replacing him. DCE has been guilty of trying too desperately to win games for us when we haven't laid the platform in the middle recently - we really need those quick play the balls and a retreating defence to give him time to work his magic.
All good points. Dce was great last night he looked like 2013 dce i loved it. The GOAT might have a career in the 2nd row. If we got another half walker and suli would be my centers and Parker can replace thommo. Its like you said his defence is good he can hit a hole these are good qualities for a 2nd rower. It was a great effort im going to watch it again soon. We just need to back up now... lets hope dce jabs AfB when hes sleeping or something 🙂

As they took the field, the face on every Manly player was grim - like they were entering a field of battle. In comparison, it appeared the Eels players were complacent, thinking they only had to show up to win. This was evident on the look of incredulity on Sivo's face when he was manhandled over the sideline early in the game "The ref can't allow this to happen to me, I am the best and most feared winger in the NRL!' After Marty scored that early try, our players relaxed a little and were able to play some good footy.

The Sea Eagles attack has been deficient this year and except for the Bulldogs game, all our wins have been based on grit & determination. We are improving though. We played well for the first 20 minutes against the Knights before fading & losing badly. We played well for the first 40 minutes against the Eels before fading & winning (Thompson's try before the break crucial to the win). Hopefully, we can continue this trend and play well for at least 60 minutes against the Cowboys next week.

All our players aimed up last night. Although Jack was very good defensively, he did little with the ball. I think Haumole could be a better option.
Watching that grub sivo manhandled into touch was the best part of the game after the GOAT smashed him. The way he was face palming garrick he thought he could just muscle his way over him.... enter the touch line.. it was suli wasnt it? Parker making him his bitch will live on until we meet again hahaha meme city on reddit

It might not have been a 52-0 demolition but, under the circumstances, I'm just pumped we won.
I couldn't have stood another roasting from Worm fans (of which I know many given I grew up in the area)

A great first half especially from DCE. Have to hand it to him. He was awesome.

I think the most encouraging thing was that we were pretty poor in the second half with the ball and still managed to get home. Thankfully, they were pretty bad as well.

The "strip" decision was up there with the worst of the year. What the **** are these people in the bunker looking at ? I swear they're watching reruns of the Simpsons.

I've been critical of Paseka but he had a great game last night. He really only needs to run full pelt. He looks bad when he pulls up short.

I have to mention Croker's defence last night. He was rock solid as was Levi.

We need to bottle the attitude we came in with last night.

This could be the reason:

Bunker is a massive waste of money they could have achieved the same result with a $690 65 inch smart tv from aldi and a kayo subscription
The technology isn’t the issue it’s the stupid bastards that make the decisions, seriously in every game that strip that wasn’t would be.

Only Warren Smith and 20,000 Eels fans would agree with the decision.

Looking to the next game, the Sea Eagles have a real danger match against the Cowboys. They have a good forward pack and a couple of very speedy backs. Gave Penrith a bit of a fright, despite their lowly position. I just hope Manly maintains the rage in the next game and doesn't take the accelerator pedal off because of the glow of a well deserved win against the Eels.

Exactly, they could have received the same result with the tech I suggested

I was wondering the same - is Parramatta's defence that good, or do them seem to get away with a lot of holding down? I still cannot work out the 6 to go, we seem to get hit with a lot of those calls
You’ve got more chance picking the winning gold Lotto numbers than working out the 6 again matrix.

I was impressed with Suli when he came back on after injury. He did make 2 major error that cost points BUT his commitment was outstanding. He really made a effort to be 2nd man in on tackles to make them effective. That sort of commitment wins matches.
Glad you brought that up. You wouldn’t have blamed him had he pulled the pin . He was clearly in a tonne of pain. The opposition no doubt picked it out as well. Tbh, I didn’t think he’d stay on. But he showed a heap of heart to stay on. That was Ben Kennedy infectious stuff.
