The Knights have a soft centre that we'll expose.
Not sure that's right. Their record isn't vastly different to Manly's.
In fact just like us they played a 21-20 golden point game v Cows in Townsville, only difference was they lost!

Similar to last week - if we can't win this game then we don't deserve to make the 8. Hopefully we get Paseka back. I don't mind the idea of playing Turbo in the 6, but we need to see a hell of a lot more from Brooks than we did against the Rabbitohs

As proven by the Souths game and a Newcastle match a couple of years ago where Des used Funa in the halves,a regular 6 or 7 needs to be playing, but Seibold has an axe to grind,so not sure we’ll see one

That's a silly statement.
Which of these clubs, which has been thrashed at least once this season, does deserve to be in the eight:
St George
'Boys
Canberra
Canterbury
Cronulla
Newcastle
'Fins
Brisbane
Souffs
NZ
Titans
P'matta
Tigers

By your reckoning, being beaten by a club of similar quality, means you don't deserve a shot at the finals.
There are 14 clubs still capable of making the eight. The only certainties are Melbourne, Penrith and Easts - all of whom we have beaten. Manly has been competitive in all of its matches, never being thrashed, which is why we have a positive F/A. Many of the other 14 clubs have a negative F/A.
To reach the top eight this season a club needs only to win one more match than it loses; it's that competitive. It's been proven any team can beat another, which is just how the NRL likes it.
Regardless of whether we lose against Newcastle we'll still be a better than 50% chance of making their eight.

The Knights should of lost that game against the Faders, the Faders got a bad bunker call that should of got them the win by 2pts. The Raiders beat themselves with fumble footy for the most part. The Knights have a soft centre that we'll expose. Team list today will be mighty interesting, Paseka and Croker could be big in's for us.

lol that would be the Raiders side that beat us at full strength at Brookvale.

I hear you Bob, but that Knights v Raiders game on Sunday was very poor by both teams. Knights not in scintillating form, I guess neither are we, but manly had plenty of fight vs the Cowboys.

According to Daily Telecrap Humphreys getting a debut, Turbo at fullback.

Interesting decisions for sure. I'm thinking Talau was viewed as someone to eventually get a go at 5/8 when he was originally signed and obviously things didn't turn out that way, but it was worth a shot I suppose, without backup halves Arthur, Croker, and Wakeham in prison. I think Humphreys was viewed as a hooker until the Simpkin singing.

I highly doubt it's the narrative some have here that Seibold hates Humphreys or something. Talau certainly has had more wraps as a junior 5/8 than Humphreys in the past.

Tommy can throw a good pass and his defence was solid last week. He has a big body and would be a tidy defender at 5/8. Only problem may be long kicking and the risk of injuring his hammy. I think there comes a time when he’s just gotta say what the heck I’m going to have a crack and see what happens. It could be a turning point for the better.
Mate he's defence last week was **** he was grabbing players never bent his back and used his shoulders once in a tackle all game. I haven't seen him tackle properly since he hurt that shoulder in SOO. If it was anybody else they would be in the Blacktown team this week.

Stats said he had 100% tackle efficiency,25 from 25.Whether you believe that stat matters or not,you don’t really want arguably your best player, having to do that much tackling and negating the reason for putting him there

Yeah they did, but that was a while ago now, we've all moved on since then.

lol. Love your faith but at some stage you need to take off the maroon and white glasses.

I think I will take the $2.70 about the Knights.

Also as much I dislike them Parra are still going to win a few more games this year especially with the players now under pressure etc.
It is a pretty open comp, maybe the most open since before the Panthers run started (although they still have to be favourite if Cleary can stay fit)
