Post-Game Discussion Manly v Knights [Round 18, 2022]

Knights came out tough, we matched them. Like everyone else, with 15 to go the nerves set in. Was happy to see us hold our nerve once Jake and Ola went off.

What would a game be without a Marty error 40 out from our own line. Just happy no try came from it for once.

Next three weeks are massive starting with our bogie team next week. Our away record against the Dragons is woeful..

How do you rate Saab’s performance tonight? I thought it was one of his best - he seemed to come in off the long run for his hit ups tonight and didn‘t get rag dolled. Did the though stuff well.

He’s really improved his carries after being told he would lose his wing spot unless they got better.

Yeah Knights definitely turned up with plenty of intent...they just came up against a better opposition.

What I loved about this win is that our tries were all from playing good footy - not the tedious and repetitive kick it high and hope for the best that the NRL has game after game. We played bloody great footy. A joy to watch!
