Last time Manly played the Sharks Horo operated on the left and scored off a short pass from Foz exposing Townsend. Symonds scored simply by running over DeGois one pass off the ruck on the right. Symonds looks better when he operates on the right (but not too wide). He was probably trying too hard to make an impact with limited game time last week against his old club . Hopefully he'll get a lot more game time today because he's got the footwork to trouble the Sharks' forwards . Snake played that day , but Gift and Carney didn't. The Sharks were very flat in the first half but finished quite strongly and Tupou was quite a handful.

Wright is certainly a weak link...he is a poor decision maker and can be quite error prone. Pomeroy is good on his day but can be erratic. Hopefully Jorge has super glue on his hands tonight and Peta is ready to cover the grubbers in behind Jorge . The Sharks' kicking game would have to be exceptionally good to win this game and I can't see that happening without Carney.
