Better than getting completely toweled up which is what would have happened in prior seasons. A few more pieces of luck with BS ref calls, injuries and suspensions, and we could have won 5 or 6 of those games. We have improved out of sight compared to even last year.

Instead of celebrating our Great Manly wins some on here are celebrating tragic Manly loses

These proud losers dishonor our Legendary clubs Premierships winning Benchmark standards and proudly lower them and compare their proud loses to our unsuccessful Manly teams of the past

This is not the Proud Winning Manly way
that paved the way to our Clubs proud Legendary Status

Lower or Legendary clubs Great Premiership Winning Standards and we stand for nothing great

So looking at the ladder predictor we would be best off to finish 5th. Forget top 4 we are no chance.
We'd likely get the Dolphins or Cows at Brookie , win that and the following week 2 final would be the loser Sharks at Allianz.

I reckon 31 points will be enough for top 8. 1 bye & 2 more wins.

Sharks & Roosters draws look pretty easy so top 4 will be hard.

We do play Sharks last round.

It will be between us and the Dogs for 4th and 5th spot. Sharks will continue to slide IMO, with the Raiders claiming 8th spot by seasons end.

Storms
Panthers
Roosters

Sharks
Cows

I think I'd rather a free hit against the Storm in week 1 than a sudden death game against the Raiders.

I mostly agree with you but in view of their draw, I can't see the Raiders making the 8. Imho the Phins will stay and the final 8 will actually be as is now.

Let's face it, every games tough, no game is a given. We'll take it a game at a time.
No, there is absolutely no "givens". Just looking at it strictly from my own ranking of difficulty. Certainly no science to it, just my gut and a healthy dose of pro biotic hope. :). That is, I would hope Raiders is one we can get away with if we have a full team rested and ready to go. The warriors at home is also one we should be up for. The Tigers worry me more (despite them running last) coz it's at Leichhardt and it's just the sort of game we would lose. I even feel confident we can turn up for the last round at home against the Sharks but it's that Bulldogs game away that I feel is one we will really struggle to win. Having said all that - how about we just take it one game at a time @:D

Payback time in Canberra on Sat week, this is a must win for us to start our own momentum. And you're right, Bulldogs will be epic i feel, but, should have everyone available for selection by the time we play them, barring injury of course.

A lot of people very confident our place in the finals is assured. We are not a consistent team and there are plenty of teams just below us chsmping at the bit

I don’t trust us to make it at all, I hope like anything but won’t be counting my chickens until the final game of round 27. Way too many machinations and manly have broken my heart too many times before.

Quite right, a lot can happen in 6 weeks. Nevertheless ...right now we look in a lot better shape than we've often been at this time of year.

Pundits often say that at the pointy end it usually comes down to who is fit. Panthers certainly have been helped by having their best players on deck for the last few finals series.

Well, Manly has just got Turbo and Paseka back, and about to get Haumole, Croker, Tolu, and Hoppa back. Even Lodge is not far off, to boost the depth. If we happen be at full strength at the end we'll be a challenge for any side.

Still leaking a not insignificant amount of points against some good calibre opposition sides to hamstring getting a result in those type of games .
Seem to have the attacking ability to match any of the main contenders in the main but definitely also need that bit of lift in overall defence

Yep some of those games came down to absolutely ludicrous decisions.
