Try the Mermaid Beach Motel. I stayed there as a kid in the 70s, and it had a slippery dip into the pool. Close to Magic Mountain, which was a pissweak-world version of Manly Fun Pier, but way up a hill.

Almost as good as the Fun Pier? Must have been alright then.

Disclaimer: I never actually set foot in- side Manly Funland/Fun Pier.

Sorry I didn't answer when asked but I've been out bush for a week with no Internet ( no phone either) very relaxing!!

Accor have the NRL contract so probably the Mecure as mentioned will be spot on the money.
