Heralding the next phase of de-Fultonisation.

Or de-Tartakification.
De-Tartakification is probably closer to the mark @Terry Zarsoff The club is in a situation where there is no longer any room for compromise. Unfortunately, there will be collateral damage from taking that aggressive stance. Whatever they do it can't be half-assed or this situation will fester in the background for another decade. Cut out Tartak and Co now, and go in hard and fast when doing it. It will cost us in the short term. It will mean an almost total squad rebuild. We probably won't make the eight for a few seasons. However, in the medium term, it will be worth it.

The poaching perspective ....

If we are to win a premiership we need to poach players and not a premiership winning coach as we have one

No other coach can win a premiership with our current roster . We need to upgrade our current playing roster

I agree as well; I'm happy with Des, but not our management of the ruck.

If the opposition keeps rolling over us, whilst still getting 6 agains, something is wrong.

Just out of idle curiosity - any idea what Penn was on about when he said people outside the club were gunning for Des, and have it in for him?
All sounds quite gangster. I wonder which gang Des has got mixed up with.

The control freak Des is also accountable for our management of the ruck . He needs to lift his game too.

Probably the 62 Chester Hill gang. I've heard they hate the 61 Guildford crowd. Or maybe it's the 60 Merrylands bangers. Fu*k me dead.

Warriors Bottles GIF

Actual footage of Des from a late seventies movie.

Mr Penn was talking about the Gangsters we have here on the Silvertails forum that have it in for Des

Look through the posts and you will find quite a few gangsters on this site

This site is not as safe as it once used to be

The most promising sentence from all of the earlier media coverage is: But the club is in the midst of scrapping Blacktown as a direct feeder club and moving their NSW Cup side back under the Manly umbrella.
Let's hope that is true.
From my perspective:
I'd replace DESpicable with Steve Hales. Yes, he's untried at NRL level but he's had great success in the junior ranks and can obviously relate to the current crop of players. From what I've read, this generation of footballers need a special understanding, including the sensibilities of the Pacifica players. Manly is heavily weighted with Pacifica players. There's nothing wrong with that, but it means that the team dynamic must include a coach who knows how to get the best out of them. That rules out DESpicable, Maguire, Flanagan and others from the older generation.
I wouldn't be opposed to Slater coaching the club. He's a smart guy, and is innovative.
I'd love to see Manly link with clubs in Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and NZ. We will need a strong pathway to the Pacifica talent pools if we are to be competitive.
Obviously I'd like to see a change of ownership, but if the Penns have the nous, courage and generosity to make progressive changes then they will gain my support (as insignificant as this may be).

Remember years ago someone would put a picture up on the forum, and you had a crack at what either party was thinking or saying? Y’all remember that? Well I thought this pic could be a good one to try.

Foz: Pasty motherfker, I can’t believe he got me to wear this.

SP: I can’t believe he’s wearing it. I am a marketing genius.
I should be a super hero…..yes! Scotty the Superhero….geez I’m good.
Foz; Jeez you're a slimey ****.

Postcodes are the defining mark of the man. I’m still coming to terms with moving from 2100 to 2094. I’m told other states even start with different numbers ffs.

In the US they are “zip” codes, which surely must be the devil’s work.

Moreover, the numbers in the postcodes are used by the government to identify suburbs and direct the delivery of written communications.

They aren’t just large numbers printed on the arms and bodies of aggressive and foolish young men.
