Manly has two of the most outstanding young backs in the NRL comp

Mate you are a true Manly Legend . You fly like a passionate Manly Sea eagle all the way from the Glod Coast to Sydney . That is Gold !!!

Manly people like you are the pulse of our great club . A real inspiration .

I might sound a bit excited but when you live in a suburb where every one hates Manly and walk the streets alone in a Manly gear , it is hard not to feel a little overwealmed when you hear from passionate Manly supporters like you

Being at the game especially at Brookvale and seeing an army of Manly people cheering for our team is exhilarating to say the least .

Our Godfather lives up your way . Have you spotted him at all ?
See Arko at all the player / supporter reunions. Biscuits , Tommy Mooney Nik Kosef Whiz Martin Fatty Mick Vievers ... a lot of great eagles up here Bozo.
But we are hated on the streets as well, just as your neck of the woods.

I’ll be there for the Roosters game. Bringing my daughter and two of her friends I’ve converted. One girl switched sides from a family of roosters after I took her to a knights game at brookie where we won 30 odd nil. I’m not well like by that family believe me !!!

Yep Wombat and John Harvey as well on southern Gold Coast. Two tough hombres
Harves ran Tugun leagues club for many years
He didn’tt hire security. Why would he lol

He actually lives on the far north coast of NSW. I saw him at the pub the other day.

I saw him at a Murwillumbah mustangs v some losers years ago... but was too shy to say hi. 🙁

Bloody Tugun, bunch of pretentious we think we're so much better than you types!

What a thrill it would have been for you to see our captain score that winning Try up there . What a try it was Indeed !
I live in the middle of Dragons territory and have the Rabbits and Roosters on my East, the Dogs on my West and the Sharks further South. .
The great thing about our Manly Silvertails forum is that we all feel at home at Manly Sea eagles territory no matter where we live .
The Silvertails forum is home away from home where no one hates our team . We just seem to hate each other lol . Only joking off course <3

THe Gold coast sounds like a second Manly home with all those Manly greats up there including great Manly supporters like you and @The '47ers
I believe Wombat is recovering from heart surgery . I hope he is ok .

I saw Foran play when he was 17/18 as he went to my son's school at North Sydney. He was tough, quite nippy, and very determined. He's not a big guy but could take the hits and was strong in defence. I was a little surprised that he went as far as he did in the sport because he didn't seem to have the footwork and guile of great backs, such as Phil Blake. I think it was his mongrel and competitive spirit that got him to the top, and when he reached First Grade he was playing with a lot of Superstars.
I've watched Schuster only a couple of times in the flesh but several times on video. He is much bigger than Foran; probably too big to be a 5/8. He is built more like Jake Turbo. But he has similar skills to the great 5/8th like Cliffy and Fittler. He uses his bulk to break tackles, then will offload to a speedier player. He is always trying to do something with the ball. For me he should become better than Foran, but it will be as a lock in the mould of Malcolm Reilly. Now, if you ever saw Reilly, you saw one of the greatest players ever because he was brutal and skilful. If he ever gets near to Reilly on the biggest football stage then we'll all be delighted. I dare say he will be scouted by many clubs.
Of course, a lot of young players never fulfil their potential. Liam Knight is one example, although he still has a chance to become something special.
Thank you for your comprehensive insight . As you said lots of young players with ability some how do not step up at the next level but it is good to know that he has potential . I saw Reilly on video tapes and he was the best lock I have ever seen . Brutal in defence , very skillful and seemed to have the ball on a string . Skillful backrowers like Reilly , Lockwood , Ashurst and some of those 70s pommie fowards I had seen on tapes are rare as hens teeth these days
Having one of those skillful back rowers in your team brings your game to another level .
All Manly fans would be excited at Schusters development . He turns 18 this year so his time is near

I met the great man years ago when GC were the 'gulls. From memory, which is shonky at best, they were sponsored by Tooheys and he was a rep?! Anyhow I digress, he was an absolute champion to meet and proud he is one of us!

Thanks for that mate . He must have recovered well after heart surgery if he was at the pub . Did he look well enough ?
I actually asked him about his heart surgery and he hasn't had it yet but he was in good spirits.

Feleti mateo comes to mind in reference to Schuster

Yes I did see Reilly play. Actually there are elements of Reilly as you say, Cliffy and even some Wally Lewis (boy am I describing a superman?). He doesn't seem to have Reilly's step, which is probably just as well because we know about Reilly's knees.

Yeah Feleti could have been a very special player if he fad of applied himself to the task.
Actually had a chat with feleti the other day at his local.. It's a shame he didn't kick on at manly. Was one of those players that could blow your mind with a freak offload or an incredible clutch play, unfortunately consistency isn't a word that usually gets thrown around with these type of players

I spent years instilling the "Manly Sea Eagles" into two of my young boys and the step-son whom my wife and I flew to Australia from a little Indian Ocean island. They all have abandoned Manly to support Man. United and all things related to the round-ball. I supose it's better than supporting a rival NRL team. There's a lesson there for all us...... Support Manly or get out!
