Don't personally know him,but I get the feeling he might be the one doing the boofing.....

Distinct possibility... I'll just settle for a hug then :)

Marty is the man,it starts and goes with how he goes,he sets the tone and standard. The offloads were outstanding and crucial today,we won the point of contact from the start and it went on all day.Best forward in the competition,I would not swap him for any other.
Agree. Best prop in the game at the moment. Not doing anything stupid and just unstoppable at the moment. Over 200m for the 3rd straight week.

I thought Perrett did a good job defensively off the bench. Lussick looked for work but he struggles to win quick play-the-balls because he is constantly put on his back. I do think three big forwards on the bench looked good today though...Brown should be dropped and Hastings can play the utility. Sure, Brown can cover the forwards, hooker and centre, but Hastings can cover hooker, halves and fullback so I think are just as versatile as each other.

The other thing about Taupau that is so impressive, is that his metres are not just metres (like say Aaron Woods), they are bruising battles that sap energy from the defence, attract defenders and often finish with an offload...

Two players running for 200m doesn't necessary equal the same impact. Taupau's 200m are dynamite!

I'd love to see his "post defensive line" stats.. he hits the line and bulls through like no other.. absolute weapon!

Kapow & Jakey are playing like the best two forwards in the game. Jakey especially, making more mtrs than he has in the past. Bending the line has become a regular habit. I also thought Darcy played really well, some very strong carries. Very imposing pack of forwards we have. Kapow, Lawrence, AFB, Perrett & Darcy are all big boys.

They're all middles, we need one of them to cover Sirro if he is out next week. I think Perrett has played on an edge before. Obviously Taupau won't be moved given his recent form.

Siro has been steadily improving all season and was fantastic yesterday, will be a big loss if he's gone for very long.
Could be wrong but I don't think Brown will get the spot unless Siro is only out for a week or two. Brown will stay as specialist bench man and a second-rower will get a chance, maybe Lane, or Bainbridge.. Hoppa.. Paseka?

I believe the key to Tapau's is that he is playing that type of football every week now in the past was always a bit inconsistent
He has found his mojo and so has the whole team

Another pleasing feature of this present Manly formidable forward line up and if utilized sensibly and effectively is the off loading ability of not only Marty but also Perrett and A F B . This additional benefit and again if used effectively , can only enhance Manly "s already impressive attack and especially for A P I and the Manly ball players in future matches .

Possible that Kennedy will get a run too - forgot about him, but he'd be our next most experienced back rower.

I forgot about him too. If it is to plug a gap for a few games Kennedy may well get the gig. If the injury is long term they might give a chance to one of the others with more potential to improve.

I think we have a great mix of forwards in the pack this year, compare it previous years we've struggled, guys like Taupau and AFB especially their ability to drag players along in the tackle make a massive difference compared to when we would constantly get beaten in the tackle and pinned back by bigger forwards. I hope Marty sees now that the only thing that can stop him is his own personal discipline, he's looking worth every penny right now.
