Marty said in the post game interview that 200 meters per game is his goal.

Bump it up to 300 Marty!!!

He was awesome last night.

Great game from the Manly big men. You could see right from the start when they made 70 something metres in the first set that they were going to be all over the Cronulla pack. Fine performance.

The team does drop off a little when Taupau and Lawrence come off. AFB and Perrett played well but they do not offer anywhere near as much in attack and defence. I was surprised that AFB only made 66m. And defensively the middle is not as tight with AFB and Perrett as they do not move as well. After only 5 minutes into the 2nd half AFB looked like he wanted a breather. Hopefully those two can improve and be formidable replacements for Taupau and Lawrence. Then Manly would be unstoppable.

You wonder if it might not be better starting one of them, so we have a mix of experience and youth at prop, rather than two established players starting then two young guns coming off the bench at the same time. Though now that we have Lussick back as well, that mix may change a little.

Siro has been steadily improving all season and was fantastic yesterday, will be a big loss if he's gone for very long.
Could be wrong but I don't think Brown will get the spot unless Siro is only out for a week or two. Brown will stay as specialist bench man and a second-rower will get a chance, maybe Lane, or Bainbridge.. Hoppa.. Paseka?

IMO it should be Lane. However.....he has done himself no favours with some well below par performances for Blacktown. The kid has all the physical tools (size, strength, speed, skills) to be a dominant NRL forward but he's too lazy to take advantage if it.

I agree that if its only a week or two then it'll probably be Brown with Hastings as the bench utility. But if Sirro is out long term than it'll be interesting to see which way Barrett goes.

We have claimed some highly rated scalps this year and just missed one in the storm.
We lost to the storm and the dragons packs, coincidentally one week after the other... not. We were dead with energy on both those weeks, if we had our chance again I think we'd fare much better up the middle

Our pack this year has been absolutely sensational, and as mentioned during sunday's game, we have conceded the least running metres in the nrl, likely due to our forwards and their ability to continually hit and stick on opposition players. Even against the raiders monster forwards we won the game up the middle, far different to what we've seen in previous years, a good change

AFB has proven to be an exceptional bench prop on a number of occasions so far this season. Sure, he made less metres against the Sharks than usual, but unless he is down repeatedly, you have to chalk it up as a one off and look to next week rather than identify it as a problem area.
