In hindsight might have been better to start Brooks at 7 and say you run the show and let Arthur’s coming in from Reggie’s settle in at 6. Will say our middle defence was not great and JakeT and BenT didn’t help with that. Oka got no ball and if brooks played right side he could have brought him into the game a bit. I would give Arthur’s another go at 6, Hawkins looked ok and that was because he has had a few runs in firsts.

Brooks is a good player he has played his best footy when he is the 2nd stringer ( I think he won his dally M when he was )
But he can't run a team and Arthurs well he ain't up for it either we witnessed that tonight

Said it once and I will say it again, we wont win a premiership with Brooks in the halves. Good player, but not great. Greatness is what wins premierships. Next year will be a regression with aging halves. Meanwhile other teams are rushing through young talented halves even if it means copping some harsh losses. Better to lose with a youthful team than an old overage one. Arthur might be an ok backup player but hes not a starter.

It’s a complete cop out to say the 7 jumper would have made a difference. It’s just a number, he was the senior player in the half’s tonight & could have taken control but he didn’t like usual. Same player he has always been except he has probably lost a bit of speed

I couldn’t believe how disinterested we were attacking bombs. I acknowledge that plenty of them were not great, but there were a few that presented opportunity while we lumbered up and took a defensive position.

This is just my opinion, but I would seriously consider trying to move him on. I think he has a further 2 years after this year. He hasn’t delivered.

The $750,000 figure for Gavin doing the rounds would be a steal. I would offer slightly more and go hard for him.

Galvin and Fogarty in the halves next year, add some fire power in the middle and we will be back in contention.

He has never been a game Pressure Player
He will never be a Premiership winning player
Neither will Croker
Neither will Seibold be a Premiership winning coach
Persist with this class of People at our club and we Prolong our Premiership Winning aspirations
