Because people keep gambling and Tax payers keep giving them revenue making venues 😎

Some of their reported loss would be for written down assets etc

The increased traffic to the new stadium will direct even more people to their machines, restaurants and bar facilities

I live in Parramatta and like it or not there is some amazing stuff happening around here right now. In 10 years time it is going to be a fully-fledged city in its own right.

That loss is for Parramatta Football Club not the licensed Leagues Club which obviously picks up the tab of the losses. Still, bragging about bringing the trading figures from $10m loss to a $4m loss is a bit howyagoing when there was an extra $4 from the NRL. They really haven't cut costs at all as the article states they generated an extra $1.75m in hospitality and sponsorships. It would be interesting to see the accounts to see where the money is spent.
