Rugby league fans of all clubs can make the decision for the NRL if they aren't capable of handing out a sufficient penalty to the Eels themselves. Walk out on games as they did in the A-League. It's a PR disaster for the league and certainly gets a point across. I'm no A-League fan but I certainly noticed that.
I find it disgusting that it has even been suggested that CH9 is pressuring them to be lenient on Parra because of the number of games they have scheduled (9 in the first 20 rounds) and the ratings they bring. Tough sh*t, they have control of the draw which is what they always wanted. If these guys are cheating the salary cap, the punishment has to fit the crime, or else risk losing the fans. NRL has to ensure the Eels can't play finals footy this year plain and simple.

I couldn't agree more @Ralphie, not only was I there that night but I was on the first flight to Melbourne the next morning for a meeting, I not only copped the barbs from the smart arse scum supporters at the ground and on the train on my way home but all the way to Melbourne and believe it or not from the Victorian arbitration commisioner as well, the worst two days of my life, we as the runners up deserve to be handled the title, imo it's no different than an Olympic athlete being beaten into first place by a cheat, more and more the NRL are losing my support, they are a leaderless rabble

The Choc insurance thing is a worry and trust Parramatta to try and find a loop hole to suffice their grubby needs that will potentially if successful drive insurance premiums through the roof and make it harder to legitimately protect everyone. They need to pay the Choc payout from their cap. Signing Choc for 4 years was just stupid and they deserve to pay.

Surely insurance companies are not that stupid. Everyone knows that choc's knees were stuffed. An accidental hyperentension at training doesn't finish a career. The nrl can't allow this either.

Interestingly, the same thing almost happened to Manly/Northern Eagles in 2002. When the dogs were sent packing we found ourselves in the 8 and only had to beat the cellar dwelling panthers at Brookie in the last round to scrape into the finals. We must have been to ashamed to accept the charity on offer though ... 68-20 we lost - or something along those lines.

I think I've finally realised that CH9 know what's best for me than I know myself!! Drink VB, Gamble with Sportsbet and watch the Broncos and the Eels every week and thou shalt be saved!! It's a red letter day Mark.

Awarding gold to the runner/walker/cyclist/gymnast who was beaten by a drug cheat is easier than saying Manly (2007) and Parra (2009) should get the premierships that were stripped from the cheating purple scum.

In 2007 the scum directly knocked 4 teams out of the finals, including Parra in the preliminary final.

In 2009 they also directly knocked out 4 teams, including us in Week 1.

IMO every team beaten by them was deprived of a fair chance to win the GF so it was right that no other teams were awarded the premierships.

They basically ruined those seasons with their cheating and then had the hide to play the victims when punished (still leniently enough to be able to keep most of the team in tact and win it 2 years later).

The damage done by cheating is significant and it is so hard to police so the punishment if caught needs to be a deterrent to others.

Zero points and all players free agents for a start.
