Anthony is today’s equivalent of Brian Smith:

Competent, the team win some games; however
Not quite up to premiership winners’ level;
Becomes divisive; then
It end in tears.

I honestly think he’s a pretty good coach mate. Almost 56% winning record during his time with Panthers & Broncos. Panthers were coming 4th when Gould sacked him!!! He’s old school & likes discipline! I think he’ll do well.

The JV is celebrating its 100 years anniversary in 2021. Team of the century etc. @:D@:D@:D

So in 2022 will they celebrate their 40 years anniversary too? Will Stanley the Steeler be there?

And didn't they celebrate 20 years in 2019?

October 2, 2010
An emphatic 32–8 grand final win over Easts gives the Dragons their 16th premiership.

The timeline includes all of the St George losing grand finals, except 1996! @:D@:D@:D

Name change for the Dragons?

The Dragons are reportedly considering a drastic name change as the club continues to reel from a disastrous 2022.

The joint-venture club has reportedly proposed the option of wiping the term “Illawarra” from its name and reverting back to the St George Dragons.

The Daily Telegraph reports the proposal could wipe out the former “Illawarra Steelers” all together after the two clubs merged in 1998.

The report reveals club members have been sent a survey with one of the questions listing several options for potential name changes. The names include:

— St George Dragons

— Southern Dragons

— Greater Sydney Dragons

— The Dragons

— St George Illawarra Dragons

Just call them Illawarra. It's where they get most of their talent from.

Talk about passing the buck

The incompetent underperforming management of the merger club should be having personnel change and not a name change
