In the pre-game interview 4 hours ago, Des spent the first 2 minutes talking up Koula and then 2 hours ago he's out. Talk about under the radar (which Des denied in the interview). Can't believe anything anymore.

Wasn’t he wearing some heavy strapping on his upper leg on the weekend.

Much better to be going in to this game as underdogs. Still, it's disappointing that Koula is out. But we get to see a debut for Tuipulotu, the 4 year contract guy, and Des has certainly kept him under the radar.
Big gutsy win for Manly will mean a lot to our season.

Probably for the better Koula doesn't play his first game at fullback while carrying a cork in a wet game. Not a bad move to hold him off a week me thinks.

Yep. Right from kick-off. His right quad was heavily bandaged. I thought at the time, doesn’t look good. But it caught up to him late in the second half. He went down with cramp. But he was close to going off I think. It doesn’t surprise me he has been ruled out. Better to be safe than sorry with such a young talent.

Yeah I think @40 nil is right, I think he had 5 or 10 minutes on field as 18th man due to head injuries in the game.
But this is the first time he's been selected in the 17.
Hope he goes well.

Yeah I thought of Tupou, but he’s 196cm. Probably should’ve mentioned that in my original post.
