* Cade Cust played injured

Not a bad effort against The Knights (full strength) at their home ground. Shows me that when at full strength, we'll have depth and quality and be a real threat.
In theory,you’re right,but when was the last season there were minimal injuries?Its the same story every year recently and before Des came back,everyone was blaming Dan Ferris,whose fault is it the last two years?

We came 6th overall last year, and 2 games outta the 8 this year?

I think he's pointing out that injuries seem to be the norm, and even over the last two seasons with Des' return. We blamed injuries in the past on Ferris, but they are still happening. So, is "minimal injuries" some mythical unicorn, or is there something the club can change or improve to minimise our injury toll each season?

We are just too inconsistent. Paeska has finally been playing great of late, break out year yet Suli, Garrick, Jorge etc have been playing worse.

Jake has great moments, but gives away way too many dumb penalties.

DCE does some great things, but then takes some wrong options.

Just cannot get this side fit and healthy and playing consistent footy this year

Elliot is the perfect example of the situation.He is heavily criticised but he was bought as a reserve grade player,not to play more games than the no.1 fullback.

Lucky we gave hoppa away!

people don’t realise it’s ok to be angry at losing with the team that played today that should’ve won. Saying it’s good we got close with all our injuries is a defestist attitude and doesn’t help anyone.

THAT team today should’ve won THAT game

piss poor we lost really

The DCE kick was definitely a shocker at the end... he needed to put the ball across the touch line and reset the defence. But he also did many other really good things. That’s just sport mate... So, no I won’t be bagging the crap out of him. Shame he didn’t finish the set off better though.
Yeah that kick wasn't the reason we lost. How was Finals effort on Pearce. Pearce drops the ball, has to go back 10m to grab it on the 4th all Funa had to do was tackle him. His just lazily throws out an arm and misses, Pearce runs 20m gets then on the attack and then have Suli and Funa grabbing again on the 5th as they run it and stroll over to score. Very very poor defence with the game on the line.

DCE went for a kick to try and score a try and win the game, not high enough but on another day maybe Garrick grabs it and scores. Didn't work today but that's footy, was trying an attacking Kick to win the game. 4 point lead was never going to be enough with still almost 10 mins to play.

I was more disappointed in the dumb footy in the first half. Simple errors

Couldn’t say it better there are some posters on this Forum who are happy with the mediocrity this team is producing its very weak mentality and we as a club are suffering from it.

Yep, should of won that. Should of beat them previous. Should of really put the warriors away last week. Just one of those years unfortunately

Another game Manly should have won , Too many poor options they take
You can blame penalty counts and 6 again restarts But a lot of the time it’s Manly’s own errors and wrong options in attack and defence that cost them field position and then puts them under pressure
If they ever can get the same team on week in week out with few injuries and key players playing week in week out , Manly games will be edge of your seat watching

After re-watching the game at 6x speed, here are the updated figures for the

SET RESTARTS

Includes the tackle number for those who were requesting that figure last week.

1st Half:

Knights: 3 - Tackle Number: 1, 2, 2
Manly: 1 - Tackle Number: 4

2nd Half:

Knights: 0 - Tackle Number: N/A
Manly: 2 - Tackle Number: 2, 5

GAME TOTAL:

Knights: 3
Manly:: 3

Taufua is rubbish, Fainu may never be the player we hope through injury and his off field exploits,Elliott thankfully is gone next season on others I agree.
Fainu killed it last season and is in our top 30... his situation next year is irrelevant. He was an integral part of our plans this season and has not stepped onto the field.
