Perhaps you could have more of a balanced point of view rather than constant snipes. I’m of the opinion that we need to make the finals for seibold to survive. However, there is no question that some players have shown improvement under seibs. I think the improvement has been a slow burn and the fact that we fight to the end in games is evidence enough that the players have bought into seibs. There is no question that he feels that we need to add some grunt to the forward pack and they have endeavored to do that unfortunately without success to this point. With 17 teams it’s a pretty competitive player market. I think there has been a significant improvement in our depth and aside from Humphries he has been willing to give the young guys a go. We really don’t know the full story to why JH didn’t play against Souths however I guess being a first grade coach he knows a little more about the game than us punters.

1. I SO want Humphreys to have a blinder, so we pump The Knights. Plus, would kind of show what a talent he is !

2. I SO want him at the same time NOT to have a blinder, because I don't want a preview on what we'll be missing out on !

Maybe others are torn as well.

I don't get the hysteria re. Humphries? It's not like he has played 5-10 NRL games and we have seen what he can do and/or what we will be missing. I know it's hard-to-get game time when DCE is there and never injured. Maybe, just maybe, those that are with him 7 days a week on the training paddock is seeing deficiencies or have concerns he has what it takes to be the heir apparent to our leader and captain at an NRL level. On this forum, there have been many blow-ups about 'awesome' juniors in the past who have been let go and they haven't kicked on elsewhere.

They are purely signing him to replace their reserve grade/backup halfback Lachlan Ilias who is leaving. Hope he kills it this weekend & can get us the 2 points but the club clearly sees more potential in Arthur

Do u think Wayne is potentially looking at Humphries as a hooking option? I believe he was playing in that role in NSW Cup in preparation for the NRL side plus Cook is leaving and I am not convinced by Gargouzoulos (I know that aint it but cannot be bothered looking it up) who seems solid but not a world beater...

They also told Hawkins he wasn't wanted , he filled in for Ilias when he was dropped

Honestly it gives us hope. I think all fans know where we are in terms of winning a comp and the debut of a young kid is a reason for hope....maybe he will spark an late season rally...(knowing this will prob be his one and only first grade game with us)

That’s fine! He is sitting behind Arthur in the halves and he’s about 4th pick for hooker… I don’t think he will get any game time with us in FG in 2025 anyway unless we have some massive injuries…

I can't say I'm torn, I just want him to hold his own against Hastings, not overplay his hand and/or try too hard. Even if he kills it, I'm not convinced (based on what I've seen to date) that he's one of those players that will come back to bite us too hard, if at all. I'm not saying we should have pushed him out (and I'm not saying we did) but I'm also not upset that he's got himself a possible opportunity somewhere else. He could do worse than Bennett as a mentor.
