Bencher
Very accurate comparison there Ranga.Unfortunately he reminds me of Josh Jackson. Time caught up with him very quickly as well after carrying an ordinary bulldogs team at the back end of his career.

Not me mate I couldn’t care less what they do for other clubs when they leave and if they were to win good on them my concern is seeing manly become a solid balanced consistent teamPersonally, I can understand why. At the time of these re-signings, they certainly looked like good deals. It hasn’t delivered a premiership but they’re hard to come by. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If we were sitting here without a premiership, having let Tom, Jake and Daly go to retain others, we’d be lamenting the club’s inability to hang onto the right marquee players.
I'd have Hudson Young over SpencerIf Hass is fit, he takes one spot, Lenui gets another almost guaranteed, Yeo will be 13, think Barnett will be lucky to make the side this year, if his form is good enough the bench is an option, Stefphano and Loireo will be in the mix, would think Lindsay Smith will be a walk up, possible starter with Hass, Liam Henry would be my smokey, pending his comeback, really hard to see how Jake gets a run this year, I guess form, injuries and availability will be the big one, but there’s some solid competition for the blues front row this year, then there’s Thompson, form could dictate, Paseka, May and others, Laurie has plenty of options up front.
Hudson’s not a middle and we were throwing the ruler over the potential middles, but I’d say his probably in the mix for a spot in the side this year, providing we’re talking about the state side, be it as a starting edge or from the bench, a lot would depend on Crighton’s form over the next few weeks, maybe even Martin’s not a guarantee this year, however I think he’ll definitely be one edge, so maybe, maybe not with Hudson. Daley’s selections will be interesting, but I’m almost certain they won’t include Jake.I'd have Hudson Young over Spencer
Ben needs to be sent to dagestan.
Let's face it; there are very few "consistent" teams... consistently bad, perhaps. Not me mate I couldn’t care less what they do for other clubs when they leave and if they were to win good on them my concern is seeing manly become a solid balanced consistent team
Just talking NSW props I'd have 1 - Hass 2 -Terrel May 3 Mitch Barnett and 4 maybe Josh KingHudson’s not a middle and we were throwing the ruler over the potential middles, but I’d say his probably in the mix for a spot in the side this year, providing we’re talking about the state side, be it as a starting edge or from the bench, a lot would depend on Crighton’s form over the next few weeks, maybe even Martin’s not a guarantee this year, however I think he’ll definitely be one edge, so maybe, maybe not with Hudson. It is like he is running in quicksand or mud. What’s with jakes flat footed like running style he has no momentum at all.
Yeah, I was surprised to seen Jake still on at 40.This is not a pop at Jake and I'm aware by pulling this thread I'm inviting a bunch to have a pop.
This is more a Seibold complaint.
We have all be advocating a move to prop for Jake but you cant be playing him 72 minutes in the front row.
20 too many especially with Bully only getting 35.
Perhaps its a lack of trust in Brown and Waddell (24 and 19 each) and when Aloiai return his minutes will come down but Jakes needs to be tending back towards that 50 minute mark IMO.
In fact the whole bench rotation was a worry yesterday. We had to takle our buts off first half but all our starters get played way too long and they what happens....the last 15min everyone is gassed and Sharks take it away.
Take away the great bloke, wonderful performances for years and just stare at the screen and watch him play. He would not be considered for any top 4 side at prop or 13 or bench ( as he doesn’t add anything from bench )This is not a pop at Jake and I'm aware by pulling this thread I'm inviting a bunch to have a pop.

I don't think Jake is finished as an NRL player, Siebold needs to use him better. Ridiculous minutes in the front row where he tackles himself into a standstill is just stupid. He would probably come alive again playing half the minutes.
The whole family should end up there, might be easier on Toms body also.Jake is not likely going to age like a fine wine. He may need to consider retirement after the end of next season or having a stint for his last couple of years in the English super league. Unfortunately sad but likely very true, The NRL is hell of a tough game.
