Gee Zaidas number 9 looks quite big from that vid ,not sure how old he is but there would be multiple position available in the forwards for him going forward I would think
Here he is front and centre in November, unlikely to have got smaller since then.Gee Zaidas number 9 looks quite big from that vid ,not sure how old he is but there would be multiple position available in the forwards for him going forward I would think
I don't mind Jazz starting and Simpkin coming on after the "softening up". That's been working okay, and Simpkin gets the majority of the game at hooker that way. But my fear is Croker will be thrown back into the team after the bye and we'll be back to square one.I don't understand why Simpkins is not our starting hooker. Pure and simple we look better when he is playing.
Surely this can't happen, Froggy is now surplus to requirements now.I don't mind Jazz starting and Simpkin coming on after the "softening up". Because the first 20 minutes of tackling are the most intense and tiring of the whole match, and having the bigger/slower of your two hookers on in that period of the game allows you to preserve the energy of your smaller/quicker hooker.I don't understand why Simpkins is not our starting hooker. Pure and simple we look better when he is playing.
I think Sips or Talau will miss out.If Guacca is back this week the bench selection will be interesting:
Waddle will have to be one. His form has improved so much recently.
Bully is a must.
Probably need another front rower which means Sippers.
Then it comes down to TT2 or Simpkins, if he is cleared to play.
For me, TT2 is too valuable to leave out of the 17, even though he failed to get on the field against Melbourne. He can cover most backline positions, and I think he'd also work in the backrow.
It's nice to have options.
If we're seriously considering him a bench utility then at some stage he should be given some game time. For me, TT2 is too valuable to leave out of the 17, even though he failed to get on the field against Melbourne. He can cover most backline positions, and I think he'd also work in the backrow.
It's a pity Tallis Duncan is signed by the Bunnies till 2027; he would fit this role well.If we're seriously considering him a bench utility then at some stage he should be given some game time.
Not sure that a specialist 3/4 on the bench is sustainable.
Pity Chee Kam hasn't banged the door down, because as recently as last year he has been a starting NRL player at both centre and second row.
