There are many 100% effort NSW cup players and they play NSW cup because 100% effort alone does not make you a COMPLETE NRL game player
The Key word here is COMPLETE
What does COMPLETE mean ?
having all the necessary or appropriate attributes

We all have different standards when we rate players
My standards are our Manly Benchmark players like Cliffy Lyons
I believe if you dont use the Benchmark when you rate you are totally missing the the mark of Greatness

Hehe true enough!
But Crokes has 4 or 5 years of putting his body on the line for Manly teammates week in week out, plus just being a decent person, so in the end that counts for something. (Not indefinitely though)

One thing that does effect Croker's dummy half options is our slow play the ball, we hardly win the ruck which then makes dummy half look cumbersome.... yes I know Crokes is, but could be why defence picks him off better than we do the opposition dummyhalf, because they are getting quicker play the balls.

I remember Api getting canned for the same, then went to the Riff and boom.....

I’m thinking Simpkin will feature more in first grade in season 2025 after a solid pre-season at Narrabeen.
