an insightful first post... and to answer your question Robbo you are not the only one to see it though BK is a real posibility, perhaps why they have delayed naming the skipper.

It's obvious who's gonna be captain next year.....
The avatar is hypnotising. I can look at it all day.
Anyway, just wanted to get my point across bout the captaincy. I feel that it would be almost embaressing (in a way) if BK got it. It just kind of confirms how much better a player he is than all his teammates.

What seems strange to me (apart from the look on the face of the chick in the avatar) is that anyone the media asks about the captaincy says they don't want it (BK, Bell, Ox), apart from Monas

i think any of these posts you'll find that i have always said mona's..... whether he's the right man for the job or not we won't know unless he gets it then come september we are right in the thick of it
so for me... mona's then beaver (but he don't want it) then look at our "new recruits"

Ox would be a good captain but to be honest I dont know if extra pressure will help.
After watching some replays of the games last year, monas did us no favours with his banter with the refs, though i guess sometimes it did.
I think we need some one more intimidating without being so in your face. Monas was a good captain but it did effect his footy and there are aspects of his captaining style that a more senior player wouldn't have, which is a positive thing.
I will say this though, despite my topic and discussion generation, i do like monas and his style of play, wathcing him against canberra he was at his best
