And an owner who delivered you nothing on Wednesday night, just failed you again by refusing normal demands for Mag to pick his own support staff.

Whilst I agree with your sentiments,a further drop in member numbers wouldn’t help Manly.No other consortium would want to buy a club heading backwards and the Penns would be forced to hand the license either back to the NRL or sell it to someone that will not keep them as Manly

The roosters supporters did not walk away from thier club when Nick Politis got them the spoon and neither will the true believers Manly supporters .
If we dont have any faith feathered friend we may as well stay in bed all day .

Penns want Madge, but they are not that rich they can afford to pay out Barrett for next year, to go with paying out Randell and Cartwright for the next 2 years and possibly additional staff payouts while paying a multi million dollar deal for Maguire and all of his new staff. Would cost the penns about 3 million a year for a coach!

The coach who decides to take the job will have to work with Cartwright and Randell and current support staff - minus Barrett who i hope will just fuc&kin go already!!

Why sign support staff without get out clauses in the contract, depending on head coach.

I love Geoff and I was very cut up at the way he was shafted . The greatest player ever the Incomparable Immortal is also gone but I aint going anywhere because no one is bigger than the club I love and Most Passionate supporters have the same view .

What a dysfunctional, basketcase of an organization. I wonder if there are other grossly incompetent owners in other major sports like soccer, rugby, afl, nfl,nbl,nhl,epl etc. I don't think anyone elsewhere could stack up to how this supposed major rugby league club is being run into the ground. This has to be deliberate. Surely no one can be this inept.

Mate I am pissed off as what you are with our clubs decline and so were the Roosters supporters years ago when Nick Polities dragged them all the way down to the wooden spoon . The roosters supporters did not walk away and neither will the majority of the faithful Manly supporters .
If you do walk away we will all welcome you back with open arms and plenty of hugs when the good times set in and we will all be singing the eagle rock

Why Cartwright and Randall were extended amazes me...not because of their ability but Barrett seem to be on shaky ground when they extended those 2. Why do that if you’ll be needing a new coach who will bring his own support staff?

Just another inept, gobsmacking decision that has come back to bite Penn (and us) as it has cost us Maguire.

Even Des had to have his own support crew. Most coaches do.

One thing from Wednesday night was I think ?Gorman saying we would be happy with the coaching announcement...that would rule out Cartwright and given the requirements of Maguire, surely they knew that night it wouldn’t be him. Who would that be that we would be happy with? Tooves yes but we know they won’t go there and if it were Des, it’d be all over the news as rumours.

Whoever wants the job, will have to accept that they’ll be working with Cartwright and Randall.....unless it is Cartwright and then we all WON’T be happy.

All crowds from all clubs decline when their team is not performing but not all supporters decline membership . The majority stay faithful .
What was Polities investing in those years when his team was lingering down the bottom of the table and eventually won the spoon ?
I agree that things are tight $ at the moment but I am optimistic that things will loosen up just like they did with the roosters .
The Turbos and DCE dominated the SOO series and if they can do that at that level then any competent coach can get them to dominate the NRL as well . I see better things ahead . Open your eyes feathered friend !!!

This is what pisses me off. Trent wanted the Penns to extend his support staff, they did, and then Barrett walks anyway, demanding to be paid for next year. Trent is an absolute prick, he constantly has whinged and moaned the whole time, and never had any answers, just full of excuses. He thinks he is a super coach. Delusional
