Maquire said no after Penn declined to meet his requirements. One requirement at a guess would be that Barrett is paid out and gone. The second requirement I expect is that he want's a say in his support staff and he doesn't want the crew that are there presently. Frankly if that's what he wants its not unreasonable. Remember Madge was interviewed recently and talked about the personnel being far more important than the facilities. Whoever comes to coach Manly will want a say in the coaching structure as their reputation and coaching future will be on the line not Penn's. Penn has to put his money on the line and meet Madge's reasonable requirements. Penn made a very foolish decision extending Barrett when he did and even more foolish decisions extending Cartwright and Ferris, now sadly he has to pay the price for these poor decisions otherwise Manly will probably won the wooden spoon and the players and fans will start jumping off the Titanic. We have a chance to miss the iceberg but sadly we are heading straight at it!

Well the Broncos are doing everything to avoid him.

They tried unsuccessfully to lure Green, Bellamy and Seibold (well maybe that one isnt dead yet)

He must be getting desperate, but I doubt he is getting "Manly desperate".

If Bennett does go to the Tiger's then Brisbane have to act fast.

They will have to pick Walters, Demetreiou or Maguire.

If they go with either of the first two then Maguire really is left out and may not be as steadfast in his demands....

Unfortunately, we do not have the luxury of time to wait and see how the cards fall.

Penns want Madge, but they are not that rich they can afford to pay out Barrett for next year, to go with paying out Randell and Cartwright for the next 2 years and possibly additional staff payouts while paying a multi million dollar deal for Maguire and all of his new staff. Would cost the penns about 3 million a year for a coach!

The coach who decides to take the job will have to work with Cartwright and Randell and current support staff - minus Barrett who i hope will just fuc&kin go already!!

At the moment we may be heading straight for the iceberg but stand by for some revelations . Changes are coming . The head coach is gone and that to me this is one diversion away from the iceberg .

Whilst I agree with your sentiments,a further drop in member numbers wouldn’t help Manly.No other consortium would want to buy a club heading backwards and the Penns would be forced to hand the license either back to the NRL or sell it to someone that will not keep them as Manly

Penn has declined to sell. So others are out there.

Does anyone honestly think if a club is run this cheap, it is going to survive?

Penn is tying his own noose as owner at the moment.

If you Force change now. In new owners hands perhaps there is a club left to save from the ashes.

Fund the fool, drag out the suffering from Penns hand for years to come, the current fan base will be long gone, great club people like Toovey moved on. The club's brand so far deminished.

What does a Penn membership fund? Seriously ask yourself. Are you paying to save our club? or paying for an owner to kill it.

In my eyes this now isn't Manly. It's broken.

And an owner who delivered you nothing on Wednesday night, just failed you again by refusing normal demands for Mag to pick his own support staff.

We all want to see this club successful.

If you not happy with where your club is at. Change it.

Change starts with you .

Change what you do. Don't be a member.
