Look one thing is clear, Barrett won’t be there in 2019.
Cartwright will be, but in what capacity is currently unknown.

I've heard a rumour that Manly are in the final stages of getting Cleary Sr as next years coach, Manly are in the final stages of negotiations to get Bryce Cartwright down from the titans, Manly have almost succeeded in signing a big name forward from the UK, and the salary cap appeal has been won, Manly are now waiting to see if the nrl will accept the QC's decisions.
So, I guess I'm on team @Batty for this one.

I like Mark’s approach, makes it sound more credible that he has to maintain someone’s confidence by not blabbing, and gives a positive vibe by enabling me to think, wow something good might be int the pipeline.
So I am I the Mark camp, not the Batty/GE camp.

I appreciate the rumour suggestions Mark. Otherwise I'd have had a month of being depressed about Cartwright as coach. If that still happens, at least I'll have had a month less misery than I would have, so thanks!

The only thing that half makes me think what I was told is right is that if it wasn’t there’s little reason not to announce Cartwright last week or the week before!
The fact they haven’t suggests something is brewing.
The Barrett situation I think has no relevance to this, that’s just argy bargy about a payout!!

Yeah, but we all know he's a dud and we've had three years of him ..... if he was going to deliver he would have and we still have the demountables. Those damn demountables are the root of all our problems.

A media friend of mine claims that Bozo is still heavily involved behind the scenes in the club and Scott Fulton will be assistant coach in 2019 and pushing for the top job in 2020.
If true, at least it would mean Manly has a coach who knows the culture.
What shape the club will be in by 2021 is questionable, however.
