All this talk about Jamie Soward has got me thinking about his best ever year and it wasn't even in first grade. The 2004 Roosters Jersey Flegg side went undefeated and beat a Travis Burns led Cronulla in the grand final. Soward himself set an insane record for points scored by an individual in that season. I remember watching that particular grand final as Burns was to join us the following year and I wanted to check him out.

What I found trippy was that that undefeated Roosters side had a few players that eventually went on to play with our club

Heath L'Estrange - won a grand final
Ray Moujalli - came to us but never kicked on despite looking physically imposing
Frank Winterstein - still with us

Sorry logging on late for the NSD, had some pressing matters to clear up but looking around hasn't been much dribbling in here considering the eye dribbler Sookwards comments. The 200 is looking mighty shaky....

lets see if we can shake things up, and hope #nextweek which is really the #nextfewdays does not become #nextweek again !!!

Madmax, I got the same impression from the interview. He was smiling (almost a cheeky grin, but who knows with Des) and was being very careful with how he responded. He has been around a long time, he knows what the media is like.

I'd say terms have been met, its just a matter of dotting I's and Crossing T's. I imagine both parties want to sign off asap as the club wants a coach before 1 Nov.

Anyway I dont think the deal is entirely done but unless there is a curve ball thrown between now and #announcementday. Des is our man.

It actually isn't that much of a surprise that Sookward has came out praising Barrett, it isn't public knowledge but they both share the same sponsor ...Kleenex, though I believe one of them is opting for Sorbents hypoallergenic , says it doesn't irritate his face as much.

So I’m now a NSD , well for tonight only.
