How come they don’t do patella tendon grafts anymore? That’s what they used to repair my acl back in the day (25 years ago). Took 12 months to recover but by golly it’s still strong and holding out. Of course I’m not an nrl player so can only think the hammy has a quicker recovery time.

I've had 2 knee recos on same knee. The first they used the hammy and it lasted about 10 games and went again. 2nd time around i used the patella and its still strong as ever. Not sure if they have stopped the patella graft but they were still doing not long ago

Dessie said in press conference the DCE was running yesterday but no chance of returning next week.. maybe week after against panthers?

More complications with rehab and managing knee pain with a Patella graft. They are a bit more solid in my experience though.

Des saying Dce is training and will go into maroons training camp on monday. Looks to be getting the captaincy! Fingers crossed they dont push him.... screw qld but a good series from him could see him goto another level in club land 🙂

Had his jaw smashed but no one saw it. Refs too busy trying to pinch us for undue points on the scoreboard at the time.
