I wonder if DCE is the man?

We made a rod for our own back in 2015, No player should ever get a contract of that length!! It really restricts us moving forward, DCE is a solid player and on his day he is right up there with the best of them. Consistency continues to be his Achilles heel especially making the right decisions in the clutch moments. he is a bit rocks and diamonds in that regard. I personally want to see DCE just focus on his own game, Like it or not we might need Hastings at some stage this year. We need to use every bit of our roster, banishing one player is counterproductive, Barrett has to get them on the same song sheet and together for the team!!

On a positive note, his manager isn’t calling up Weidler and co. with a ‘Daly’s after a new contract’ story every couple of years or so.

They just reported on the news, Cherry-Evans has been fined $10000 for his involvement with Hastings. Not than that is a huge penalty for him, but maybe he started the fight?

That'd get you a fair few lap dances in Gladstone though.

Croker is 10 times worse then Walker, Tapau is a better player today along with our forwards, Dylan was pushing Sh....up hill the way the team was set up hagglers for forwards piss weak centres not even Dce could make an impression

in Dylan's defence as 5/8 Tapau was a fraction of the player he is now. Apart from jake the rest of the forwards were useless.
As were the centres if I remember correctly Dce was struggling .
(Seems like everyone has forgot that)

When Walker was playing 5/8 for us in 2016......our centres were Jamie Lyon and Steve Matai. It was actually the last year for both of them.

Well, OK, they were supposed to be our centres. I lost count of the amount of times in the middle of games when either Lewis Brown or Tom Symonds had to either come off the bench or move from the back row to cover for when either Killer, Skivy or both went down injured. And of course after struggling through 10 rounds, Barrett then swapped Killer with Walker, something that should have been in place before the season started.

Incidentally, when Walker was 5/8, the second rower outside of him for the most part was Martin Taupau. This was before he got moved permanently to the front row.

DCE is the Captain of the team which means he should be leading by example both on and off the field. It’s time for him to truly earn his salary and make peace with Hastings for the sake of the team.

Put them together in the halves and I dare say we will win a lot more games this season.

I’d say DCE is only captain as it is written into his contract.

He’s all about being called Captain rather than actually being a Captain.

We must be watching different games then. His first year on big money was a disaster, his second year he stepped up but faltered at the end of the season and this year I can think of two or three games this year where he hasn't aimed up, the most apparent vs Souths.

Can I ask why our Captain was in a Gladstone strip club? Was he out celebrating his teams fine performance against the Gold Coast?
