Those who have concluded that croker’s presence in training photos means he will be the hooker can take comfort because he is not in today’s training shots.

For me however, training images mean nothing.

I read the articles in the SMH and Telegraph about the Cheese wanting to be a fulltime Hooker, anywhere if he can’t at the drizzle, and thought , “Jeez I hope scam smith plays on and maybe, just maybe, the Cheese would like to live on the Peninsula“ Money might be an issue though but everything is solvable.

He's supposedly on $425K/season, which seems low imo but if true may not be so much of an issue and would surely be doable. The Cheese would be ideal for us.

What's more of an issue is having a no. 9 already and fitting him in our 2021 cap when he's going to spend most, if not all, of it on the sidelines (and possibly 2022 as well). That's not so solvable unfortunately.

Nathan PEATS kind of the forgotten man of hookers who has been in a holding pattern. Dragons only wanted PEATS if they couldn't get McCulloch. Apparently Macca will be announced by dragons today. What will follow?

I must say Billy Brittain the young hooker at the dragons who can't get be considered as what they need, is who I'd prefer DES or Matt Ballin to have an interest in. But perhaps with TNI both are surplus to requirements. Time will tell.

You'd think between Mona's, Ballin and Des there is enough experience to determine whether or not Croker can do an adequate job at Hooker.

I don't buy into the argument, he has no vision like many posters on here claim. He has displayed instinct and vision on numerous occasions over the past few years. Albeit with a healthy dose of errors thrown in as well. Can he tighten his game? Time will tell.

As far as letting Api go and keeping Fainu is concerned... it would have been an absolute bloodbath on here if the reverse had of occurred at the end of 2019. Fainu was the most influential player in getting us to within a whisker of a prelim without Turbo. And the NRL needed to rob us blind against the Bunnies in order to stop our momentum.

Agree about Croker, much better than most give him credit for.

That being said, why let Levi go? Extend him for one season. Wasn't the worst hooker, but definitely more specialised than our halves being asked to play there?

I think it’s only because TNI was contracted for 2021 that we are seeing what we are seeing otherwise you’re right.
