It was said by Hooper that Bozo was the chief architect of the cheating. How could that be true if he didn't start any dealings for Manly until 2 or 3 years after the cheating was already going on?

I shouldn't have said anything. I think the whole thing is a joke and a beat up. I was only pointing out that defamation is very hard to prove and if there is even a semblance of truth to what the person is saying it's almost impossible. Also i was commenting on people talking about greenbergs being defamation. When i listened to it i never heard him say chief architect.

I also think from everything i've heard that it never appears anyone was intentionally trying to "rort" the cap. But that's just my opinion

What you are saying is right @lurker. Defamation is not straightforward and truth is a full defence. Greenberg is very careful about what he says and although he does seem to have made a slip up here which may well cost him his job it may not constitute defamation.

The primary basis for the uproar is that he conducted a process without affording natural justice or procedural fairness to an immortal of the game.

Greenberg's problem is that he picked a target who it would seem is far more powerful than he anticipated (how he didn't know Bozo was powerful is another mystery!). If he just targeted Bare/Barrett/Toovey or even Penn he probably would have got away with it.
