The Fat Lady (or Fat man in Vegas' case :lol@: ) has not begun to sing but it is not far off both Grand Finalist from 2004 missing the semis altogether. Rorters are stuffed chooks and the poundkeeper is looking for the keys to the kennel.

If my memory serves me correctly the last time that this happened was 1987 when the Dogs and Eels bombed out and Manly, Easts, Canberra and Souths were the big runners that year.

Was a five team format that year too. Not sure if it has ever happened with the 8 team format???

The Rorters have got a tired old pack and haven't delivered this year. Bulldogs have been cruelled by injury. Their forwards looked very ordinary against the Knights in a game where Joey didn't shine and their backs have been decimated. The Doggies showed 20 minutes of awesome footie in the first game of the year and have been disappointing since then. I hope I am right as I said both wouldn't make the semis 17 rounds ago.

In 1992, both Canberra and Penrith missed the finals. The previous 4 premiership winning teams are also in danger of missing the finals. Credit the salary cap for that.

Good pick up C? Previous 4 winners to miss out.

Good for the game - time for another team to get a chance. If the Dragons or Eels got there it would break a long drought for both those clubs.

St G - 1979 and five GFs later.

Eeels 1986 and nothing since!

Go the Tigers who have not won since 1969, the Cowboys have never won.

I hope the Broncos don't win it as they are the only team of the Top 8 that has won a comp in the last 10 years! Last winning teams in the top 8 apart from Broncos are Melbourne and then us!
