Grand Final Capacity reduced to 75%

Not really interested in a social media argument about this , and whilst I acknowledge some of what you say the volume of absolutely inhunane decisions during this is very lengthy.

There’s many , but here’s one because I know the people personally.

Moree family, pre border bubble time has their son ( 13) at boarding school in Brisbane.

Josh is severely hurt in a rugby scrum , and when I say severe it looked like he’d never walk again.

No family in Brisbane , no support network ( other than the school ).

Was in the children’s hospital for almost a month , 3 very major operations.

Moree, just over the border , no Covid at the time ( in fact there’s never been a case there ).

The family tried everything to be able to be with their son ( remember he’s 13 and by himself ) , letters to the Premier , letter from the Prime Minister to the Premier.

Nup, no , stay in Filthy NSW.

Queensland hospitals are for Queenslanders.

As I said , lacking any humanity.

And this is just one story , and there’s hundreds.
Mate I'm totally sympathetic to every story like this. My Father has cancer and lives by himself in the Blue Mountains, it took 3 months before my brother was allowed to visit him. Times this story by thousands. It's certainly a balancing act but we certainly don't want the same situation up here.

I do get both sides of the story.

As I’ve said my comments are in no way political in nature.

I think every Premier is somewhat on a power trip.

Mate, I couldn't disagree more, we've had a relatively normal life for the last 5 months. My family all live in Sydney including my 87 year old father and it's been an absolute nightmare. The Qld Gov have not only given us a normal life but allowed the NRL to give us entertainment for the last 4 months. I can't believe anyone would criticise our leaders as we've been able to socialise, go to restaurants, movies, sporting events etc etc. It's now turning to custard coz we've let people from NSW in who have lied about their status which in turn has jeopardised the GF. Yeah open the borders everyone and watch our state turn to ****e.

I'm with you @qldeagle , not sure what the hell the rest of the country expects us to do! I get our tourism industry is on its knees but sheeeesh open up the state and every industry will be on it's knees! I don't vote for any of the major parties so I don't care about who's running the show but I damn sure appreciate that we have held it off for so long! And now their going to open up international travel down south, geez good luck with that. Just bring the next strain of the virus into the country smh.
But anyway, go Manly 2022.

Totally agree I had a similar story with my mother living in Nsw but closer to a hospital for treatment in Qld but couldn't cross the border so treatment was delayed , Whether that made a difference in the ultimate outcome will never know but was hard to watch footballers and there families getting access to cross the border but families who actually need to cross the border being denied or delayed for long periods was hard
Some decisions these politicians had to make will not always favor everyone

Except the WA premier.
Only one Liberal in opposition and a massive budget surplus I don't think he cares what we think of him.

I think they all want to cut WA off and have their own country over there anyway.

He’s in the same category as Palachook in my opinion.

What about Liberal S.A. ?
They are in the #keep em out camp but escape the msm grilling
Yeah I guess out of sight out of mind.

Honestly I don’t have much time for any of the Premiers , this has been a massive power trip for them all.

I’m not sure when we started being from the state we are from and not Australian any longer but it really pisses me off.

Mark,

I know you were in the travel industry and I don’t know were you’ve lived in Oz, but from my experience, the citizens of at least 2 of our states have, in my experience, always referred to themselves as from their states (i.e.Western Australians and Queenslanders) before identifying as Australians.

Yes possibly.

By the way I still think the sadest thing is after hearing that the lady in Ballina had lost one of her twins after not being allowed to go to the Gold Coast Hospital saying “ Queensland hospitals are just for Queenslanders that’s a NSW problem “.

If we’ve stopped being Australians that’s just ****ed !!!

I'm at the cricket test match on the Gold coast, well under 75% here to see Aus v India
