For us to win, we would have to play four outstanding games in a row to put us in the GF, so that means five outstanding games all up, something this side has never done and not likely to do.

To win the grand final we only have to win the last four games of the year.

Manly vs Dogs
Cowboys vs Storm

Round 27
Manly vs Sharks
Dogs vs Cowboys

We will finish 6th or 7th.

We lose next week and cowboys win
We can’t finish 6th so I would rest players in round 27 if we find ourselves in that situation
Live chance of 6th in round 27 we rest no one

We already beat the top 3 teams so proven we can beat them. In 1997 we had beaten Newcastle 12 times straight yet they still beat us. In 1995 the Bulldogs finished outside the top 4 and beat us in the grand final. In 2021 we smashed all the bottom teams but lost to the top teams and we were called flat track bullies. This year we have beaten all the top teams and lost to the bottom teams and that means we can’t win the premiership which way is it? Anything can happen we are in the 8 so we most certainly can go all the way. Biggest hurdle in my mind is the blatant favouritism some teams get from the referees.

On the contrary. We go much better against the top three teams and have beaten them this year. That's because the matches have been refereed more fairly, and the fact that all wins were at Brookie.
Whether we can beat then at a foreign or neutral venue is debatable.
We have, on the other hand, lost to the three worst teams, Wests, Doesn'tmatta and Souths. We got beaten by Doesn'tmatta in the early rounds when they were playing well and on a bunker decision. We lost to Souths when we had a reserve-grade line up, and we all know how we were stitched-up against Wests.

All those games where we led but only for the game management to have us lose
We should seriously consider resting a few players and go in to the finals freshened
We can defeat any team if we are at our best

So it’s 7th or 8th by the looks of it , unless we were to come out like rock stars the next two games and win both.

Such a pity to lose a home final, that would have got us to week 2.

Oh well certainly an improvement on 2023, regardless.

Maybe.....Cowboys have Storm and Dogs so it is entirely conceivable they lose both.

That would leave us needing 1 win for 6th

Yep, it comes down to how we perceive things.
Some say we're $h!t because we lost against Parra, Souffs and the Tigers we don't deserve to be in the semis.
All teams lose games that they're meant to win - even Melb and Penrith.
We've knocked off the top three so that evens it out, yeah?

We know that when we're on that we can match it with the big guns so what happens in the next two weeks doesn't really matter too much.

Week 1 of the semis is where it's at and anything after that is a bonus.

Storm will rest everyone this week, so the cowboys should get the choccies. We need to win both as I imagine we are playing g cowboys either way. Big difference between playing them at brookie or travelling and playing them at Townsville in the humidity. Any advantage we had if controlling our finals has gone with that ridiculously bad Thursday night performance

Still the bulldogs may finish 5th and play a r broncos side that is getting troops back and has the team to beat anyone if they suddenly put it together

Cowboys at brookie is probably the Best outcome with what is left to play out.
