Marty is on a sizable backended contract for next year, he will be 32 next February, basically the club has said that in all likelihood they won't be extending beyond next year, that's not to say we don't want him next year, but if he can score a good deal somewhere else beyond next year, it would be in his interests to take the offer, it would also give us some salary cap relief to shore up up and coming players like Olakau'atuRe the speculation about Kapow leaving:
If he still has a year to run on his contract it doesn't matter if the club wants to release him provided Marty wants to stay? A club can't force out a player with a valid contract.
The only reason he won't be with us next season is if he wants to leave, and he seems very happy at Manly.
