Honestly , I’m a bit lost for words.

That was magnificently inspiring.

Bugger me , we are back.
So many here wrote off this season but I for one can proudly say I never did. Always knew when Tom came back things would turn and bloody hell how they have turned. Also after today I think we have 4 games left against current top 8 teams. 2 of those games are against dragons and Titans. We need to seriously start thinking about top 4.
What a bloody win!

I was just looking at some highlights (again)

Unless the rules state otherwise, I think Jake was hard done by in his sin binning.

didn't grab at clint, ever, yet clint grabbed jake twice and then dived.

Jake was in front and is allowed to run his own line (not a kick so no escort.)

The play wasn't right nect to them so I dunno about 'illegal blocking' - is that a thing?

SO ..justified or not? Probably... I dunno. burp

go Manly!
I’m hearing you, I honestly saw it similar to you and believed Gutho interfered with Jakes defensive opportunity, could easily have been Gutho who was penalised.

Gutho is always on the wrong end when he plays the brothers.
He’s also on the wrong end of the hair clippers.

I understand one of the reasons the Squeels snapped him up was to improve their HQ (Handsome Quotient) - let’s be frank, never a strong part of a team representing a Zoob Zone (aka non-coastal/non-surfing district) like Faecalmatta.

So Clitho, get down to the barbershop and get a nice flattop, something that suits you.

Not that greasy, lank, non-masculine Lalor Park-like tonsorial look you’re running with.

Gutho has totally betrayed his roots. Could you imagine one of our players carrying on like a pork chop that he does during a game. Talented player but seriously needs to look at his attitude.

Also a little note to Mitchell Moses. I am sure that our players have long memories especially about the injustice that we suffered when we were denied a win by an errant touch judge last season and Moses carried on at full time like a total tool when most of the other Eels players were humble and understood that they got away with one.

For me yesterday he was rank and exposed yet again.

Parramatta might have have a world class stadium, a city for corporate sponsors, four times the amount of juniors that we have and a favourtism in the media that we can only dream of, but one thing they do not have in regards to us and that is a winning culture and spirit. That was in evidence for the whole 80 minutes yesterday. Manly butchered them!

Agree given Jake has done it in the past he is an easy target for the refs. There is no way that he should have even been penalised. He was running in a direct line to the ball carrier.

I'm so happy I don't even mind that that 'usual poster' will come on here tomorrow and tell us all how Manly did it all wrong and they should play to his or her exacting standards and blah blah ****ing blah

GO MANLY
It's funny, I don't understand the frustration with that 'usual poster'. I think he genuinely tries to be 'constructive'.

What truly gets me is another 'usual poster' who only posts to put scorn on the club and team. When we are losing, there they are. When we are winning....crickets. One of their last posts was at the begginning of the Broncos game where they said something like, "we are shot. Broncos will put 50 on us". They haven't been sighted since!

I don't mind pessimists, but come on. If you are going to put sht on everyone and everything when times are bad, acknowledge when things are good. Even grit your teeth when giving praise like the crew that don't think much of DCE, but don't ghost the site because you can't maintain your prejudiced narrative...

Rant over.

I only got to watch bits and pieces yesterday - will watch the full replay later in the week when I have time. But @madmax, I now know what you mean about how much the Worms whinge. I hadn't watched their games this year (for whatever reason), and couldn't believe the petulance!

Well according to the squeel’s forum we should have had at least 6 more players binned, we got every single call go our way, the refs were in our pockets and making up rules to suit only Manly.

Strangely none of them noticed that brown and mahoney were off side the whole game, something the refs seem to miss every parra game

We owned them pure and simple, was a joy to watch

I guess from the refs perspective Jake has form for this, but I agree with you and thought Jake was genuinely trying to get back and cover in defence. Same as when he got binned for interfering with Gaigai a few years, he only had eyes for where the man with the ball was.

Unfortunately, Jake appears on the 'tip sheet' and so we know he is just going to get pinged, even for the 30:70s.

Moses is a marshmallow when under pressure. Always has been.
To be fair I don't think their #6 was sighted at all during the game.

Likewise Parra fans are saying plenty about Waqa Blake given that all our points were scored down on the Eels' right edge.
