Actually maybe Des could give those guys a few of the reefers I suspect he fed the boys before running on against Cronulla and to Marty before he ran on in the 1st half against Souffs ,that would be guaranteed to make everyone relaxed and comfortable .

Talk about over rating Des he wouldn't even get an interview with the tigers. After the dogs debacle nobody would touch him the only club desperate enough was us. This isn't like last time he left when he could have most jobs in the nrl. Maybe Blacktown need a new coach?

Anyone going? I would expect those with all the inside knowledge of the impending train wreck (they have predicted) to be there.

I would assume 90% of ST will be there to either tell them how to actually train and play to win games and/or tell them how much they suck, to their faces.

As I can't get there I'll just email everything to Des so he can read it out.

You may laugh at that, but do you remember when Paul Vautin read the messages from the board(s) to the players and asked some of them to answer a few? What people need to remember, is this is a spectator sport - it's entertainment.

If the product isn't entertaining, they lose goodwill (customers). Particularly in a period of poor on field play & form, the tall brass need to ensure the goodwill is still plugged in through any means necessary....

and that's something this club is very, very poor at. Fans feel they aren't informed enough. They feel a disconnect with the club. Members / sponsors haven't been kept informed about Maestrov (which is paramount given the relationship between sponsors & the previous CEO was in question). Players signings haven't been announced months after they were made (sometimes not at all).

That's the difference between when Des originally came on board those many, many years ago, and today. Fan Forums. Members days. Corporate Sponsors events. Access to players. Yes, we were losing (but improving), but people were still plugged in.

The apathy Des has with the fans (and his players) is concerning. You'll note other clubs coaches apologize to traveling fans and members after crap performances. You'll note they are more informative around the team named on Tuesdays. Des just doesn't care.

I mean, he doesn't even speak to the NSW Cup team about what is required to break into first grade (I'm looking at Segeyaro here - and that's from the horses mouth). I recall an interview about 8 weeks ago from a NSW Cup player for The Panthers saying Cleary was having constant dialogue with him about what he needed to do to get to that next level.

We just need to be better - both on and off the field. And people have a right, to be completely disillusioned & frustrated.
