I feel sorry sometimes for the son of stars as they have a lot to live up to and there is always the suspicion they are there because of Dad's influence.

The comparrison of son's to famous fathers makes wonder if say Andrew John's or Darren Lockyer's father gets hassled by his mates because they didn't have the talent that their sons possess or if Crusher's old man feels outdone by his son

I've still got a lot of time for Cleal Jnr ...... if he could give himself a chance by not being constantly suspended .... he is only young, will "fill out" in future years, has pretty good speed and a bit of mongrel about him ...... give him time

Doesn't mean he's not over weight for a modern day prop. Look at the test/SOO sides for what a prop should be built like.

I don't think parents could ever feel outdone by their children. I know I would be the proudest parent ever! As for Kane, I can tell you he is training his butt off at the moment and has been doing so for weeks! He is really putting in at the moment, so I hope it pays off for him. He has got a really great attitude and his comittment is second to none. He's off to a great start, so hopefully it will carry through for him and his season will be a bit brighter than last. 🙂

I hope my boy cracks 1st grade this year. His passion and enthusiasm on the field far outweighs King's and Lulu's, even if he does give away some dumb penalties. He will mature into a great prop I'm sure.

Kiwigirl my comment was meant as a lighthearted observation on human nature that while some people are quick to judge the son's of famous fathers against the ability of the father (Chad Randall, Scott Fulton for example) not much thought is given as to why the sires of sucessfull children are not judged on their lack of success (just filling in time really)

I don't know if I would enjoy the criticism when he doesn't go too well, but both my eyes are open when I watch him so I would understand where it was coming from. It's fantastic to hear you have a head on your shoulders!

Some others dont take things the right way, and he could never be as poor as King and Monas so you dont have much to worry about
