So...
Today’s crowd was posted as 10,148
Last week 10,706 ( although healthy)

To me it the hill looked nowhere near as packed as last week.

Can anyone that went to Brookie today give their opinion?

General consensus on here last week was that the crowd was higher than posted,
Did they find a new crowd counter today?

Given that we were playing the team running last and that we are missing arguably 3 of best players, I reckon that just over 10k wasn't bad.

Last night's Gummies vs Scum game only attracted 7,683. Cows vs Tits only had 10,655 last night in Townsville (6PM game). Even the Chooks vs Tigpies tonight only attracted 13,666 to the SCG, and that is only 23 more than attended the Souffs vs Donkeys on Thursday.

Actually, so far this round really has been poor for attendances. It makes the 10,079 who turned up in Wagga look pretty good really.

I was there for both games and yes, last weeks crowd was much bigger than tonight’s. I swear the scanners do not work. The scanner went green for the person in front of me and stayed green. I then popped my card under the reader and the lady said, go through, it’s gone green. Based on that, the crowd numbers are very understated.

The NRL, and in our case probably the council since they own the ground, get a percentage cut of the gate takings. Fudging crowd figures to lower than what they were has been going on for years.

Though in this day and age with bar code scanners its hard to see how anyone would get away with it.

The poor crowds are because JDB was charged with an offence carrying a potential 11 year custodial sentence.

Well we have already lost the girls touch footy team.
Who will be next.

The only downer today (apart from Api's injury) was the crowd of around 8,400. Yes the weather was a bit dull but a 2pm Sunday game vs a Sydney team should have attracted a whole lot more than that. They missed a great afternoon of footy at Brookie.

I travelled up from the Shire and it was pouring all morning same for the St George area, I guess a lot of Dragons fans decided not to go , as there were only a handful of fans at the game, I would have stayed at home also if I didn't have an undercover seat, there were less at the Dogs / Roosters game
