Croker

He has done everything he has needed to since Turbo came back, but he is still probably the third best hooker at the club. It's Fainu > Daylight > Lawton/Croker
This is what some one here do not understand

Yes, some players are doing good

But we must keep improving and strive for Excellence to evolve as a great premiership winning team

There are areas in our team where we can get so much more out of

The broncos are no benchmark

They offered no resistance or resilience

And their coach confirmed how soft they were

And Croker took full advantage

Parker on the other hand could not capitalize

He failed to score a close range try after he was put though a gap by a great pass

He failed to make any line brakes

He failed to make any try assists

He failed to make any impression in open play

And close to half time he failed to complete a tackle getting in schusters way which resulted into the Broncos only try

Parker looks out of Place and out of Pace in the NRL
This is the 4th thread in 2 days you have blastered Parker in where the thread has nothing to do with him.
I get it mate your no Parker fan but what's the point going on about him when it's about Crocker ?

I'm guessing you get caught out all the time calling your latest girl your ex's name in bed, or do you also compare them to Walker and how hard he gets you?

All good

Jokes are part of this forum too 🙂

What does that have to do with the notion of respect that we are talking about ??????

This is my perspective of respect ...

Respect is Speed , Skill and Athleticism

And if we are going to be the best team we should not settle for any thing less than this standard of play ability

I hope you guys can finally understand the standards we must aim for to be a number one team again

Croker has definitely improved.

Amazing how a team can play when they are on the front foot and not gassed after 20 mins from all the defending.

i read an article a few weeks back where Croker said he’s accepted he won’t be a starting half anymore and will focus 100% on being a hooker. might be the reason to his ongoing improvement.

He is a better dummy half than a half back. He is getting better and I’d like to think he’ll keep improving. Credit where credit is due.
Croker has improved massively. I had him pegged as our weakest link. He deserves his spot as starting nine. He also deserves to be given a new contract for 2022 off the back of this improvement. Assuming Fainu is available, he will be competing with Lawton for the fourteen spot next season. Cust will struggle to get a game next year.

Your bloke hasn't done any of that since 2017.
He has not played in the centres since 2017

Hopefully he gets a crack this year and makes up for his lost time of disappointing injuries and incidents Because our left edge strike needs to match our lethal right one

It is all about a stronger Manly team and nothing personal about any player

When I look at the level of improvement

I look at the level of greatness in the teams we competed against and won

We are only as great as the last great team that we have defeated and the second last broncos offered No resistance and No resilience and got the 50 they deserved

The highest level team on the ladder we defeated was the bottom of the 8 team the titans
and so far we have not beaten any team above that .

This week all players including Crocker have the opportunity to prove them selves against the benchmark of a top 4 team and what better way to do that with a big performance by each player and a great win .

Been saying for 3 years that anybody that writes this kid off hasn't bothered to appreciate his history ... he may never be a superstar ... but has more courage and determination to succeed than any player we have ... whatever success he has he will have earnt ... and at a fraction of the contract price of some show ponies ...
It’s easy to overlook the fact this is also Crokers longest injury free run since his junior days at Canberra.
Such a tenacious and well liked squad member, all the boys show him a lot of love.
I’m stoked for him to be on the field this far into a season without some type of leg injury.
Des must see a bit of himself in Crokes.
Good on him.
Go manly!

Agree that Croker is the most improved. As others have said, for the first time he looks like a genuine 9.

In fact, given the importance of the 9 position, this improvement is almost as important to our resurgence as Tom’s return.

Credit where it’s due. He has certainly earned a new contract. He has also earned our respect.

Seriously hands down this guy has impressed me the most and am very happy for him.
His passing has improved, hits hard in defence and his effort is 100% all the time (that part was there from day 1).

He is re-paying the faith Des put in him and i was one of many that was thinking wtf.

Being a converted no9 from a half maybe once he gets more comfortable and solidifies his position he might add some play making/kicks like the top no9s have?

Well done to him and his determination to overcome setbacks is second to none.

I saw a rather prescient quote on the forum earlier this season saying that Croker will improve because he has to.

I was at the Warriors game a few weeks ago and from a distance you might have thought he was Matt Ballin... Not the most creative or dynamic half, but service has improved and he hasn't missed a beat in defence. Surrounded by a team that is firing across the park he looks very comfortable out there.

Obviously you want your best players on the park... but with all due respect I am now not sure that our fortunes hinge on the outcome of the court case later this season.
