Apart from the obvious issue with our club being the Penn's, our other biggest problem is our defence. You look at all the teams that win the comp every year and it's their defence. Ciraldo has his dogs ticking along because he's a defence mentality first coach. I think it's time for Dymock to be moved on and get Brad Arthur back. The last time we were the real deal Manly was 2013 with Tooves and BA. I also think BA could be good for Seibold, one having a footy brain, the other a science/strategy mind. Plus if Seibold gets hooked, BA can step up.

BA for Seibold straight away is the answer. Now the bears overlooked him, its the perfect opportunity. We should be pushing top 4, not 9th. This is the perfect year for an ambush, and we've stuffed it up.

I really don't get the love for BA. He took the Eels to one GF but other than that his record is pretty ordinary for a decade in charge.

Seibold is a mediocre NRL coach....but so is BA. As a reminder per Wikipedia

"Arthur also set an unwanted coaching record, becoming the first head coach in 112 seasons of the game to coach a side for seven consecutive years and fail to make at least one preliminary final"

I'd rather get a Josh Hannay type guy in with fresh ideas than a guy who was fired from the Eels last season.

Bozo like you I love my Sea Eagles and have for a very very long time. I love your loyalty and passion but getting rid of Seibold now I think is not the answer. He clearly needs some help from his assistants and Dymock for one is not helping. Some of the recruiting has been poor and yet at the same time, when this team is on they can beat anyone with some great attacking plays. The money freed by DCE going, and the recruitment of Fogarty with some spare change may help. At this stage paying out another coach is not the answer. I'm prepared to give him another season with Fogarty leading the team around and hopefully with a couple of good forwards pushing for a spot or two. There's not too many good coaches available now and capable of turning this team around, which is why I suggested maybe BA coming in and assisting like he did with Toovey.

our Legendary club. I felt your love for Manly with every word I read .

I get you don't agree with BA coming in, but the Dymock style defence is not working. I was merely suggesting a change and thought he'd be the best option as opposed to getting another coach in and starting all over again. I also get he tried taking players with him when he left, but isn't that what most do if they get a gig elsewhere?
