Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

On 360 last night, Dean Ritchie and Anasta both said Blake Green will get the Newie gig. The plot thickens...
Speaking of Ritchie, he is fast becoming my most hated “journalist”. Thinks it’s a good idea to print something insulting about Queensland to get them motivated for SOO every year, and last night was saying the media is too quick to put pressure on losing coaches, when that is exactly what he does for a living on NRL360. If that show can’t manufacture a controversy they have no purpose.

And won’t the ASC, ASS, ASB just love that , the last two wins has knocked a bit of wind out of their sails but not to worry they are sitting on the sidelines , salivating at the thought of 3-4 whoopings.

I still think there’s a surprise , maybe two , coming.

As to why 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷

I can't see us beating Melbourne or Canberra, especially not in their back yards. But the Dogs aren't travelling too well right now so maybe we could come out of the next month 2-2. Hopefully we do.

As for Seibold, my only argument is if we boot him, exactly who do we replace him with that would actually do a better job?? There aren't many around like that right now.

When Parramatta signed Jason Ryles, their chairman talked pointedly about developing young players as part of the direction they were taking... i.e. he was given a remit to build a young squad.

Whereas at Manly, our club owner and chairman stated publicly in 2022 that we already have a premiership-winning roster, and that we needed a coaching team to match it.

That is a pretty big difference.
Penn has been saying we are in a premiership window for ten years. With the players we have had he is right. However we have got nowhere near it. If Penn didn’t own the club and was a paid GM he would have been fired years ago and ten times over with the garbage we have all witnessed since 2015.

The running of the club has turned to 💩 under the Penn's ownership.

We went through the back ended contract era. Hopefully we're nearing the end of the tie up almost half the salary cap in 3-4 players era ... though I'm not overly confident it will end.
