[Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

Another reason why we might've upped our offer for Hetherington in particular, is that he came from a hooking background. Should Croker retire, it adds another backup option, and a backup option much better than Turpin.

Ironically, Seibold was the one who turned Hetherington into a middle originally, and if he ends up back there, he'd be the one undoing it too... I do think it's quite unlikely, but it's an option for some extra cover if needed.

A little bit of trivia, another random player who was originally a hooker, before ending up in a completely different role, was Brian To'o. Not saying that we should sign the world's best winger as a hooker (even though that's unfortunately something our current coaches would consider), just a fun fact.
Karl Lawton was a hooker & transitioned to back row….

Sad but I guess it’s no surprise. Worried about the mention of the knee problems. If we request medical retirement regarding the concussion I think we would get it ok, but the knee issues will muddy the waters. The nrl don’t need much to deny us and will no doubt use that against us.

Anyway good luck Lachlan you have served us well

He has served Manly well for sure.
Interesting that Manly clearly thinks Croker may be finished, yet have let both Jazz and Gordie go. Looks like we'll be relying on Simpkin and Dockar-Clay (but that looks a bit skinny to me?)

Froggy can certainly hold his head high if it is retirement time , - effort , commitment and on field contribution as a 9 , rates quite good
Especially as a transition was required from being a utility back and all of those injuries he had to endure and overcome to eventually find a regular spot in the top grade
Wouldn "t be on real serious money but along with Aloiai 's expected medical retirement and the same applying to Froggy , going to help the bottom line with additional cap space
Is Docker - clay definitely coming to Manly ? Not sure that is going to offer that much benefit if he takes up a top 30 spot
Always the option of Hetherington playing a bit at 9 , maybe Brooks to take up some role there if Walsh really comes on . Zaidis apparently has some real promise whenever maybe ready before not too long
Not too sure if the Manly management ever really anticipated Froggy being right for next season and on going
